Hey guys,

My car wouldn't accelerate, just fall flat when you touched the accelerator then slowly died. When turning the key to prime the pump it sounded like crap so I changed it with a new pump.

I pulled the gas line near the intake and primed the new pump, fuel came out fine so the pump is working and fuel is getting to the engine.

Car won't turn over.. We checked a plug and it sparked, wouldn't start

Put a bit of oil down each cylinder, won't start

I checked codes before changing the fuel pump, No codes.

What could be the issue right now? thanks

Did you check timing?

Well before I replaced the pump it was idling fine, didnt touch anything regarding the timing. Why would it be off?

it shouldnt, are you hearing the electrical buzz from the fuel pump when u turn the key to on/acc? are u getting fuel to your injectors?

Pump is good, I disconnected the fuel line right before the intake and it spits out fuel no problem when I crank it.

Just not turning over. Based on that fact, could it be the cut off switch or a fuse?

Check all lines pulled and make sure you re-installed them correctly.

btw:
no need for oil in the cylinder.... lol

Codes will not be thrown on a typical sr setup.

You may have fuel flow... but do you have pressure?

A severely stuffed fuel filter can cause such problems. I had a similar issue, though the car never died, acceleration was very lumpy. A new Z32 and all is well. It was tough to even blow through the old one.

A new filter, FPR and/or gauge would be the next logical course of action.
