Hey guys i was wondering if any of yall knew much about the exterior body parts of the 89 240sx. i was involved in an accident and i was wondering if the piece that runs along underneath of the door is removeable. I have been looking at it and there are seams on either sides of the door, so i am thinking that this piece could be taken off. I am looking to repair it my self and was wondering if you guys had any tips for me. If you cant figure out what i am talking about let me know and ill submit a picture so you know what i mean.

i think i know what you mean. it's that piece along the underside of the door that you put your emergency jack under, right? If that's it, I don't know how you will be able to fix it yourself unless u cut the rocker panel off another 240 and weld it onto your car. That's what the body repair shop told me. I just got in an accident also. The body shop will bend yours back for like $150 to $300 i believe. I'll have to check my receipt when I go back home. It's all labor. Did you damage your sideskirt?

the part that i damaged was not the metal bar running along the bottem driver side of the car, it is actually the piece you can see, if you want to call it the side skirt, then thats what it is. below i have found a picture a 240 and circled the area in question. As you can see this piece is directally underneath the door but still on the side of the car. This piece in red on my car is pushed in about 2 inches. If anyone knows and infromation about this please let me know. thanks

oh yea and it is only pushed in around the middle of where the red circle is
