View Full Version : suspensions issues (picture included)
ended up driving up on a curb, and broke a front tie rod.
i've replaced that, but the wheels has still been out of whack.
i've attached pics of the bad side, and the good side.
any of you guys know what i need to do to straighten it out?

If it doesn't have adjustable tension rods on it then yeah something else is bent. Could even be your lca

I had the same thing, only with me, it was a busted coilover... check it
I'm lucky it held where it did, or I would have had to have it towed home.

Girl that owned my car before me tried "drifting" for her BF. I replaced everything and it ended up being my cross member. Poopy business.

Stupid thread is stupid.
Honestly, nobody will know what actually bent on your car because we're not the ones that can physically see it/measure it.
There actually isn't "much stuff there". Only a handful of parts.
Since you replaced the tie rod, that can be eliminated. Now, inspect your LCA's, Tension rods, and crossmember.
Soapgun will probably be right through. You more than likely bent your crossmember.
!Zar!

Most likely it is the lower control arm. Like 80% most likely.
the arms looked fine, i didn't see anything else that broke off or looked bent. i'm also led to believe it's the cross member, but would not have known have i not made this thread.
I'd think that a person with adjustable tension rods would know what the 2 suspension arms in the front suspension do.
Check the tension rod brackets and your crossmember.

i did end up bending the tension rod bracket at which it connects to the car with a single bolt. the bottom edge where it curves was bent in, i was able to pry it out to install the new tension rod, but i dont think it's sufficient enough to place the wheel that far back. replacing that crossmember is going to be a bitch.
