Hi Everyone,
Can someone please take a look at my coilpack wiring harness and see if it looks good or not. Not getting spark to any of the coilpacks right now. Car was running before I started to clean up the wiring. Thinking that I might of messed up the wiring when I repinned it back. I compared it to the FSM, and it seems to look good, but just wanted at least a 2nd opinion.
Thanks!

Coil harness is wrong... It should be from left to right looking at the back of the plug or just how you have it in the photo; Top row- black/yellow, black, red/white; Bottom row- thin black, red, red/green

Hey jr_ss,
Thanks for the reply. I'll give that a try and see if it helps. I originally hooked it up according to the FSM.
So my original setup is:
top, left to right
[Br -> R] | [G -> R/G] | [L -> B/Y]
bottom, left to right
[R -> B (thin)] | [W -> R/W] | [* -> B]
With your suggested wiring, it would be:
top, left to right
[Br -> R/W] | [G -> B] | [L -> B/Y]
bottom, left to right
[R -> R/G] | [W -> R] | [* -> B (thin)]
This was the diagram I was going off of posted in another thread:

I'll double check for you with my coil harness plugged into the main.
Yes, how you have it is exactly how it should be. This was on my running car and I was using LSx coilpacks and everything worked great.

Thanks again for the help. Does the LS coilpacks make that much of a difference? I've been reading up on that lately from trying to solve my problem right now.

Anything over OEM is an upgrade. I ran the LSx coils with my Haltech, although I'm sure you can use them with the factory ECU. You'd have to eliminate your factory ignitor because LSx have internal ignitors. To take full advantage of the LSx coils you'd need and aftermarket EMS that allows you to control dwell time, although they would be a good upgrade over factory.

Correct. Factory ECU can def control LSX coils without issue. Just gotta remove ignitor and wire it up.

I am currently running a PowerFC, but switched back to stock right now since I was trying to diagnose my problem, making sure I didnt mess up my pfc. I've been reading more into the LSx swap, and might covert over just so I dont have to deal with the ignitor chip anymore. The less wiring going all over the place the better for me. Looks like a pretty straight forward swap from what Ive seen in other articles. Thanks again for the advice!
Codyace - not sure if you got my pm awhile back about the ac and alternator brakets? still interested if u got them. Thanks!
jr_ss - I'll still try to rewire my coilpack harness to what u described above and give that a shot too. If thats still a no go, then I'll start working on the LSx swap.

I have a set of coils for an LSx if you want to buy them from me. They were brand new when I purchased them and I used them for a year. They work great and I'll include the harness if youd like. I also have extra wire and ends to make custom plug wires if you want to do the conversion. PM me and we'll talk.

Just wanted to comment back on this thread even though we spoke thru pm,
I rewired the coilpack harness to what jr_ss mentioned and still did not work. Car still cranks but wont turn over.
