My car makes a low to high pitch whining sound and some times my car starts smoking and goes away. I do not know where the smoke comes from but i can hear the whinning sound in my car and near the throttle body in the engine bay. does anyone have any ideas?

if the belt is slipping on the pulley and melting, it can sure smell awful.
Not sure how much "smoke" you are seeing...

I don't. I live in the ghettooooo/euclid area, I just figured if you were on my way home from work in clairmont I'd swing by and check it out.
Does it happen only when you are getting in mid-high rpms and when warmed up? If so, do you still have the stock fan clutch? Usually, that won't "smoke"... but it could explain a squealing sound. You indicated it stops when you pull over, are you able to hear it when you pop your hood and rev it from under-hood?

it usually smokes on idle i hear a low pitch on idle and as i reach 2.3 3 rpm on 1st gear the pitch gets higher then after 2nd gear i dont hear it. When i pull over and stop it stops smoking .... and i rev it from the throttle body and i dont hear it as much as if it i reved it in the car
