Part # 38102-RS500
S15 - 12mm thread 13mm shank HLSD

Bought a S14 Cusco RS. Been at machine shop for 8 days as they keep breaking bits trying to drill out the Cusco holes to match the S15 ring gear. Machine shop guaranteed me they could do it with minimal down time.

** Casing is even unmillable im told. Now they overnighted another specialty bit and will be back to work in the morning. Have an event on the 22nd that i would like to drive in.... ARGGGHHH : )

have any of you sucessfully undertaken this ? IF so please help me and the machine shop fail - - - -

I have not done this in particular but...

They should have known the material before even starting.
Did they test the hardness of the part they are machining? Its not your fault they are breaking bits... hell, if you burn one bit out on the first hole you don't try it again with the same / similar cutters lol

Are they milling a new bolt pattern or opening up existing holes?

If they are milling, they may have a hard time if the material has a hardness of 65 or more... In which case something abrasive might have to be used to remove the material
