I had purchased a 240 (not running) already with a redtop sr20det swap in it. The wiring was a complete mess, so I purchased the wiring specialties wiring kits for it, and a lot of other new parts. I sent the car off to a local custom shop to do the s15 front end (which looks great) and to finish getting it running. The shop has had the car over three months over what was our initial plan, and cannot figure out why it isn't running properly.

Needless to say, I am over the waiting on my car. I have three main options now... which one should I do?

1. Pick up my car, and transport it (tow it) to Ohio to Zerolift to finish my car (which would get it running properly)

2. Part the car out (enging has compression and all, and have had it tested many times (it is a good engine)

3. Or keep the car at the shop and let them continue to try to figure it out?

I have spent well over $4,000 more than my initial budget, and the car is still not running. Should I spend even more money to get it running? (even if I get it running, how reliable will it even be?)
Or should I part the car out / sell it as is, and cut my losses.

I am so tired of having to borrow a car to drive all of the time. This project was supposed to be done in February!!!

I'd pull my car from the shop, then again I don't let shops build my cars...

Then what though? I am no car mechanic, and everyone around here is no sr expert...

I'd pull it from that shop and let zerolift fix it the rest of the way. Its kind of at that make or break point. If you invest the rest of money into it and it gets running where you want it to be then it will definitely be fun.
But if you go through the hassle of parting it out your still going to be waiting around to gain some more money to get you a daily and some of your money back... I'd just stick w/ the initial plan of getting it running and having some fun and stick w/ her for the long run. I'm sure she wont let you down
