New to the game, need advice

Hey guys, i'm new to the 240/sr game here and need some opinions and direction please. I've searched this forum for a while, and finally picked up a good project. It's a 89 240sx hatch with a s13 blacktop swap. Mods are:

ISIS V2 tubular manifold
ISIS turbo elbow
ISIS turbo back exhaust
ISIS front mount intercooler kit
HKS step 1 cams
Aluminum radiator
Nismo thermostat
No name cone air filter on SR20 MAF
KYB AGX shocks w/lowering springs
Z32 front brakes
Front and rear sway bars
Cusco rear strut brace
P45 17x8 bronze wheels all around
180sx cluster
Short shifter w/Nismo ball
Drivetrain has 88k kilometers (56k miles)

I'm looking for some direction and advice. I have a few questions that i have not found answers to online.

How is boost control done on these cars? i've heard you cant just throw a manual boost controller on it and go. Is this true? My car has the stock T25, and I know they are useless beyond 15-16 psi. I'd like to put her at 12psi until I upgrade the turbo and injectors. If someone could advise me on how to control/adjust boost on these engines, either manually or electronically, I would greatly appreciate it.

My other question was about rear differentials. My car has the original 240sx diff, and I am planning on upgrading it. I am not a drifter, this will be a street car. What are the differences between the popular diffs? Also, where can I get them?

If anyone can recommend me to some good sites for parts, it would be a huge help. Google has pointed me to a few places, but if anyone has some inside information on good places with good prices and customer service, it would be a big help.

Sorry for the long post, and for my newbness. I've been around the car scene my whole life, from my 66 Dodge Dart GT convertible 340cu, to a 05 WRX STi w/504 awhp. I'm always changing up my rides and love the learning experience that comes with it.

As for the boost controller electronic or manual will do as long as you got a boost gauge to monitor where your boost is at.

What psi are you running now?

Stock turbo, stock wastegate, no aftermarket boost control.
Should be 8psi.
Gauge shows peak at 8psi, holding 7psi strong to redline.

Cause I was gonna say the previous owner gave me an internal wastegate actuator rewelded for 15psi and I have no interest in using it, since I am using the 11psi he gave me, cause I have a t28 in the garage. Let me know if you would be interested. Just thought I could save you some money(unless you really want a boost controller then I'd say go for it).

So i have to get a wastegate set for 12psi then? Cant do it by hooking up a MBC?

No I am just saying if you didnt want to spend the money on a boost controller at this point in time. A boost controller is a good idea and I am getting one myself when my t28 goes on.

Ok cool. I have a turbo xs MBC in my garage from a previous car, i'll probably T it up and adjust it to 12psi with some road tests.

anyone have any suggestions on rear diff choices for a street car?
opinions on the godspeed coilover kit?

Weld it, shits free, works

Never ever ever ever buy godspeed coils. I had a set brand new and blew all 4 sides in a week daily driving. Never again! Be a baller and get some stance xr coils

And don't weld it, get a Vlsd of a j30 and done deal. Cheap and street car freindly.

VLSD might as well be open. I daily my welded, people make it sound bad when's it's not.

Welding the diff will cause one wheel (inside wheel) to lock when trying to turn a corner correct? Doesnt sound too street friendly.. iv seen it done on old junk trucks and thats wat happened but please correct me if im wrong..
