Hey guys, I'm starting to piece together parts for my hatch, and the next thing I'm looking to get is the turbo since most of all the other parts will be based off this choice. I'm looking for a pretty decent amount of power, without crazy lag that necessitates a fully built head that needs valve adjustments every 1500 miles.

I've got a S13 redtop with
Wiseco pistons
eagle rods
Clevite bearings
ARP studs
Cometic headgasket
all counterbalanced within 3 grams

I've got some friends around that run muscle, by which i mean vortech cobra's and the like. And they like to hassle me for my little 2 liter. I'm looking for around 550whp (yes i know, arbitrary number out of nowhere, but thats what i want) I've been looking at turbo choices for about the last year.

What I've come up with so far is a Precision Billet BB 5857.

Here's one post I found, can anyone confirm if this statement is accurate?
Dont buy either. Try a billet PTE5857 Dual BB air cooled or a PTE6262. The PTE 5857 Spools like a 30r but makes 650RWHP. The PTE6262 spools like a 35r but has made 780 AWHP. I have a 35R on my red daily these turbo are just out dated. Garrett just introduced there Billet GTX lineup but we havent gotten a chance to test them out yet.

If what I remember is right, this should mean decent spool at ~4000rpm's?
