I'm picking up a 95 or 96 240 this summer and plan to drop an RB25DET in it. My question is whether or not to use the NEO6. are there advantages to using it? Just curious if any of you have one or have any feedback it would be great one way or the other. I'm ordering the motor/trans in a few weeks so when I get the car the new one will get dropped in right away.

uhh you need to search, and know that that engine does not just drop in perfectly.

I just finished installing one, its by no means easy, wiring was as everyone says: a BITCH!
I went ahead and adapted some 26 ITB's so that added to the install time, but gotta say, the engine sounds sooo sick.

Yes,I am aware the RB series motors do not "just drop in" and for future replies, leave the "do some research those motors don't just drop in" replies out.what I asked was for first hand knowledge or feed back from people that have these motors. Kthxbai.

Pretty sure he was talking about the NEO6 specifically.

well we dont spoon feed here on this site, Although some of the N00bs here do.
if you had searched you would have found that I did a fairly in depth RB build thread for an S14 here. KthanxGFY.

Theres no Difference other than the Wiring.
Having a NEO, I would say probably not, out the box it's better than the S1 and S2 but parts can be a difficult to find and when you do the price aint cheap. I paid more for a used PFC than I did for an SR one brand new. If I were you and swapping into an S-chassis Id go, S1 or S2. I have an ER34 so I can't speak about installation.
