So we're starting a "Car of the Month" feature, and the first story is out, it was for the month of March, but because it's so long it took us a little while to put it all together.

It's about the Lost Birds R33 GTR - Inked. Some of you may have seen this car before, and now you can read the full story from start to end. It shows how every single piece was hand drawn and really gives u an idea of the time and dedication it takes to accomplish something like this. But it doesn't stop there... There's also some fantastic videos, and the story itself takes place in Japan over the last 2 years or so.

Heres a couple of my favorite shots and the demo video, check out the full story here: The SkyLife: Car of the Month - March: Lost Birds R33 GTR Inked (http://www.skylife4ever.com/2011/04/car-of-month-march-lost-birds-r33-gtr.html)

heres the intro video: YouTube - Towada Cruise Extended Preview (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=RscVtZgKcVI)

Not my preference, looks dumb.

But if he enjoys it thats all that matters, I can imagine it did take time.

There are so many cars being done like this now, whats the deal? First one I saw was a Lambo out of Miami like four of five years ago, now its trickled down to honda's and VW's.

Here is a pic of that car and its almost five years old

And they even do it to Fieros now

In sharpie.....I see this possibly staying on and looking horrible.

Oops, too late.

It looked like a 13 year old girl's trapper keeper when they did it to the Lambo.
It doesn't look any better here.

I think the art is cool, but not on a car.Keep that on paper.Besides all of that I read the article and the girl who did it is very talented. She hails from portland,or where I live. There seems to be a bunch of crazy artist like this around the area I live in.

Not my cup of tea but it looks like it takes a lot of time and detail. I see Sharpie stocks rising in the near future hehe.

cool do u! If some big names in the car industry or drift scene start working this it will be declared the next best thing since sliced bread! i wouldn't do the whole car maybe just the hood or maybe a strip!

I'm sure it takes skill..

I'm not sure about taste though.. Something different I suppose. I'd like this slightly, if that ride height was better.

I liked it when i first saw the thread on nico, and i still think it looks pretty awesome. If my girlfriend was talented in that way, I would be damn proud to drive around with her art all over my car.

Not really it draws a lot of attention from the car scene here in a good way and the girls seem to like it. You forget this is the land of the Itaisha.......and Gozirra Vans (mostly Okinawa) and Boso cars!

He has put a lot of time and money in the car though I understand its not everyones cup of tea!

This is true. Boso cars make this look like nothing is out of the ordinary. I wonder how much those Sparco R2s cost>?

yeahhhhhh boiiii

Its unique and sexy. Yes everyone has their own preference but why shit talk. Look at all the other stuff coming out of Japan like Toi said. I would take that car in a heart beat because it attracts a lot of positive attention here. Also, you should give me the Sparco seats for one Driver side R33 seat.
