I'm tired of messing with this power fc to lean out L01 and L02 to keep the car running when the open to atmosphere BOV opens so I think I'm just going to install my SAFC and use only the decel settings.
The question is, since I am making up for using a Z32 MAF in the power FC what do I set the in and out settings of the SAFC to?

714-685-5700 is the apexi number. just give them a call and tell them you have a tech support question. i've called them a million times for information like that and i have to say they have the BEST customer service i've dealt with so far. they always answer and are quick to help out and get the right information.

Thanks. You're right excellent tech support.
Apparently if I had Datalogit the "Acceleration Enrichment" function would do it but that is not available through the commander. As for the SAFC in and out he said to use the stock RB25 settings.

im not trying to be a douche bag, but if you were to do one search like " safc z32 settings " on google you would have found it in like 2 mins...
if its a s13, you set it to " 2in 6out "...if its s14 its "2in 5out" .. and done.
welcome.

If you understood the question and also the function of an SAFC you would undersand:
a. It is an RB25 the year car it is in DOESN'T matter
b. If you feel the need to provide information make sure you are accurate the RB25 stock setting is a HW-4
c. Read the question and understand what it is asking, it was referring really to the interface of the SAFC and Power FC with regard to the Z32 maf and whether the need to modfy the signal prior to input in the Power FC for proper function.

Isnt there a function in the PFC that does the same exact thing as the decel function on the SAFC? It just sounds kinda dumb to be using a SAFC on top of the PFC.

if memory serves no, only the safc has the ability to control decel air.

in the PFC commander there's a switch to turn on the z32 maf and the q45 maf to work with the PFC. for sure i know it is on for the SR PFC's but for the RB PFC i dont know exactly for sure if it is in the function or not.

the z32 has supper bad stall characteristics .. if u use the s2 rb25 maff.. the pink one.. it works much better and good for the same amount of power.. i use them on many cars we work one.. the also came on 97+q45 & maxies.. also the power fc has correction but the z maff sucks

The stall is terrible on this thing I don't know if it is caused my the Z32 Maf or not.
I haven't put in the SAFC in yet, currently trying to work out why I have to go to the IGN/INJ menu and make the INJ value 1.30 to make the thing run with decent AFRs.

You tried tightening your BOV so it wont dump the metered air too fast and bog the ECU?
