Ok so I wired up the AEM F/IC 6 Model 30-1910 this weekend. I'm unsure of what sensors I have and how I need to wire them up.
The Crank sensor is a Mag type with two wires. One wire goes to the ecu and is POS and the other goes to a ground point and the ECU as ground. Now I wired it in as per the instructions for Crank Mag.
The other sensor is the CAS sensor. It is housed within the Distributor on these cars. It is an optical sensor with a power in wire, a ref wire that splits into two wires, both going to the ecu, a pos wire that splits into two wires, both going into the ecu, and a ground wire. I used the pos wire, thinking it stood for Position. I know the nissan CAS was an issue for the standalones. Anyway, I tapped the pos wire using the Hall effect wiring. I powered the car up with the bypass plug. Started fine and ran good. Plugged in the FIC and it ran great but I had no tach on the FIC itself so it stayed at 000 rpm. I'm trying to figure out if anyone has wired this up and what it is I am doing wrong.
