This is an electronic rev limiter launch control system for Japanese cars (except Honda), it may work on other vehicles but you are responsible for doing the research. It works by altering the ignition restricting the rpm range in two steps. The first limiter is set to the max rpm that you want your engine to rev to. The second limiter is engaged when you press in the clutch or brake (your choice). This allows your to do two different things. When you are ready to launch you simple press the clutch and the throttle to the floor. The engine will rev to whatever you set the second control to and stay there. This is great for building boost on turbo cars. The second advantage is when installed you are able to shift gears without ever letting off the throttle. As soon as you press the clutch to shift the rpm limit is dropped back to the number two setting, keeping up boost and power while shifting. This system is know to lower quarter mile times as much as .3-.5 seconds. This is also the system know for shooting flames out the exhaust system. This occurs because unlike traditional rev limiters that cut the fuel supply, the bee r limiter cuts the ignition allowing air and fuel to flow out of the engine later igniting. The instructions that I have are in japanese but it shows what ecu pins are used. I can explain the wiring to the winner, however it is a very simple 5 wire system.
No English instructions, I can explain the 5 wire installation but you need a wiring schematic for your vehicle
Cuts ignition instead of fuel preventing the engine from going lean and most often causing flames to come out the exhaust pipes
Used for wrc rally racing, drifting, and drag racing among other motor sports
Allows for faster and more consistent launches off the line
Allows you to shift without letting off the throttle
