ok so i have a awesome running redtop and id like to sell it so i can do a rb25 swap. how much do you think its worth for the engine,trans,ecu, basically everything except the harness. iv looked but the prices vary a lot.

Depends.. Mileage, overall condition, etc. Basically it's worth what you can get out of it

Does it have any leaks?
Compression numbers?
Was it beaten up on?

A lot of things come into factor when pricing an engine out so you may want to add a few more details.

For his S2000 yo, you didn't think an S2000 was that fast in a drag race on the Honda motor did you? After all it out ran a Jetta.

Personally, why would I wanna buy an SR engine set without the wiring harness?

Going rate for a redtop SR20det engine set last I checked, was about $1500-1700. Anything more than that is usually a whole front clip.

ka24e is the new motor of choice, baller approved. everyone wants a ka24*e* nowadays, its the new thing. you know, single cam slammer. its the 2011 motor of choice.

your right, i wasnt gunna sell it with the harness but i just found my old one so i would now.

ok new update. this guy wants to trade me a 95 240sx ka-t project for my s13 with a sr20. he says it needs oil lines and a tune. what the beep should i do. its not driving right now. car is straight body wise. should i try to get him to make it drivable? and then trade or should i just do it?
