Hi, I have a 1996 240sx and Im replacing the ground wires since my car seems to have vibrations at around 2700 rpms and shakes at idle which gives me a clue that the ground wires are worn. I know one ground wire that comes from the negative battery to the engine. Is there any more ground wires? If so, where is the other ones located? Links to any site that shows where these ground wires are located would be very helpful. Any help will be great, thanks.

I was pulling apart my other KA on sunday and there were two ground wires on the engine if I remember correctly.

should be one from the battery, two at rear of head (driver side) for engine harness and grounding strap, another at front of head (for engine harness) and that's all i can think of right now.

AFAIK, on the S13 there are technically maybe 5 or 6 MAJOR ground points.
The 4 major ground points for the ENTIRE electrical harness is located in 4 different areas: 2 are inside the cabin, under the dash.. at each SIDE of the car (left and right) and bolt onto the big bar that is under the dashboard. The other 2 main ground points inside the engine area are located near the headlamps, that is where all the engine ground wires combine and are bolted down, again.. one on each side of the front of the car.
Then there is the engine ground, which is very simple. And of course, the main battery ground which is just a short wire from the battery to the chassis.
Then of course, you have those waste of time grounding kits, which I just think are a bunch of crapola but some people seem to think differently.

Where can i buy that metal piece that attaches to the wire and the negative battery? Also what gauge wires would be necessary for good grounding?
