View Full Version : Redwood City Late Night
Anyone that likes touge or just practicing your racing line, let's go driving. My spot is woodside road in redwood city. I am always down to do driving anytime past 11pm. I like to see headlights around turns so i can slow down. There is less traffic later at night. Please no irresponsible drivers or first time out in the mountains. I dont want to see someone crash like last time. Dont drive over your head. I just want to go and and have some fun. I'd like to keep it under 10 cars if possible. 3 or more cars would be cool. Im doing this on short notice. Wedensday night, 10-8-03. 11pm meet up @ Malibu in redwood city. Be there or dont, im going driving. Maybe we can be make it a regular event and move it to different mountain passes over time. Reply here only if you are coming, or if you would have come on a different day even though it's late night. It's not a Tofu run Kazuo!!lol

Anyone that likes touge normally don't publicize the roads they drive on, especially on the Internet. *sigh* oh well. -_-

How else would i meet up with ppl? Reguardless i asked for replies only for those that were coming. I really dont care if cops are there. Last time we went up with 20 cars and the Sheriff was chillin there. He said "Take 35 to highway 9, it's a nice run"
Edit: Why do you assume cops are out on the internet prying in peoples' business. I highly doubt there are cops investigating this forum and if they are, there's a rat among us. They are busy trying to find rapists and such in the chat rooms. It's funny that you would think so. Last time i organized a meet on craigslist, and that's a totally public and popular website. There were no pigs except the sheriff who was there coincidentally. Zilvia.net is not like craigslist. And dont make excuses cause you're scared to take your precious in the mountains. Just say so. And the flaming begins... Hey im just kidding. Dont take it personally. Please only reply if you are coming.

not such a fan of touge runs with people i dont really know..i like to know who i'm with and what their mentalities are regarding spirited driving..when you just meet up with randoms it seems like you could easily get a kook or two in the group who feel a need to race or drive beyond their abilities trying to show off for others..this puts me at risk..when you drive with people for a long enough time you begin to be able to anticipate their moves and how they will react in different situations..i find this makes makes driving a lot more fun and safe..
that being said..have a good time..but, if it was me, i wouldn't envite tons of randoms to my personal mountain roads..

Every time i get an email im stoked that someone's coming, then i come and check the forum and see otherwise. I appreciate your input and you are absolutely right. That's why my post said 3 cars would be cool and under 10 would be cool. That's why my post said no irresponsible drivers and first timers. Hell i dont care if im the slowest guy out there, im not gonna push it to keep up. But maybe ill learn from someone more experienced.
Please dont reply unless your coming.

They most likely don't at this website. At other car forums there have been cops posting before, but anyway that's not what I'm concerned about. The road you picked is a nice road, and more than enough people use it for touge already. This includes people who drive Honda Accords. -_- The more that it's publicized, the more people will go to it, and the more attention it'll get from cops. Hell that road already gets enough attention from cops. They probably won't go as far as closing off that road at night, since people live there, but they already patrol the area and pull over "racers" before where the twisties start. You got lucky with that sheriff.

Just say you're meeting at Malibu and going for a drive afterward. Don't have to say where.
The way I see it is, more and more people are going to know about these roads no matter what, but the slower that it happens, the better. Don't want it to end up like SoCal too quickly.
