Since a year old thread that the many 240 owners of virginia posted in was closed, and events still actually happen here, i believe it needs to be reborn.

"So....looks like the VT car show is on Oct. 19. Ne one in the SoVA area planning on going??? or even any NoVA heads. I think my friends from SpeedFactor may be rolling down. What about you guys?"

Mark has known about the thread for a long time, he didnt seem to mind it. Anyways if Zilvia had maybe some regional forums, people could chat away about 240 stuff pertaining to their location. It is a very helpful thing to be able to talk to other members from your area and it works well for other boards. Posting location specific questions in General chat doesnt always get the best results.

Where exactly is your workplace? I know if its in the district, you will want to be near a metro station, unless you plan on driving in every day (that sucks, DC traffic is #2 worst in the nation). The suburbs that are bout 15-20 min outside the district are like Tysons, Reston, Fairfax (NoVA) or anywhere in Montgomery County, MD. I personally like the Tysons area and the Reston area. They are relatively close to the district and the neighborhoods/communities are very nice and safe. The only problem is that they are starting to have some traffic problems. Oh well, in NoVA/DC/MD traffic is something that you will just get used to. But no matter were u are in that area, you will be close to a 7-11/mall/gas station/fast food etc.

Nova stretches as far as prince william county, not just fairfax. So it goes all the way to manassas.

well fellas, its been quite a day. I'm sure you've all heard about my $800 HICAS-s13. I was driving it today, just got tags on it.
I'm going along and start hearing a loud tick. :confused: I start going up a hill and start slowng down. Now, I'm used to boost, so i give it some gas..continue slowing down. :mad: Then the worst..the car shuts off and refuses to turn over..so much for my valves and timing belt and so on. :bash: Oh well, I guess this is just more motivation to get my SR in and done.
From now on: I'm not dealing with KA's. Lol, if I want boost, RB or SR. :bow: to JDM

It's in harrisonburg, VA off of I81. It only take an hour and a half to get there from Nova. We will probably do the night session which is 5-10pm. And it only costs $23. It's a a nice mountain. Most trails intersect w/one another. The terrain park is kinda short, and only has 2 ledges, and no half pipe. And the terrain park runs on a J bar lift, which sucks. But the rest is nice. Night time is the best too, because not many little kids that don't know what they're doing get in your way. And the best part of it all, GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS!!! (sorry george, i don't think any of us will do a Dupont Circle meet :D j/k)

It should be fun. Heck we could even chip in to rent a condo there over night so we could throw a party and get some girls over. And so no one has to drive home drunk. If anyone's interested, get at me on AIM. My screen name is EYE HEART DIRT

Hah, imagine that. Niether did i lol. Two reasons though. 1. I have grown past the what engine is in the car crap. 2. I got a normal full time job nowadays so i can be less cheap. In other words im willing to spend more money to have less downtime :)

As for the ka-t, didnt finish tuning it to run right during summer and needed a reliable daily driver for school. So turbo kit was taken off. And now, that my newly bought escort gt is pulling harder with 2 ppl in it compared to the 240 with me in it, i realize what shitty condition the engine itself is in :)

went to Rockville tonight good turnout lots of WRX's.... one i had seen in a magazine...um it had a trust intercooler, Birde brix seats, takata harness, gold volks, gold graphics, an option 2 sticker on the back, the whole v-opt crap on the bottom windsheild pretty nice, oh ya and it was white.

Dan Dan, the NIssan man was there in his s14.5 (wow).....that thing is super loud, he was there with some girl (GF?) who was carring around a little ass dog haha. some teckademics peeps rolled in ( Blue MR2, The famous MX6, and some RSX) and they all rolled out together. I think im gonna go stop by tomorro.

Lots of people were talking about the "DC metro" spot, cause they took out the speed bumbs...meh.. good times... Yea, I decided to head out to the Metro tonight around 11pm and ended up staying till about 230am when cops were just everywhere. I think tonight had about the most people in the past couple of weekends. So many people everywhere. I talked to Dan for a quick sec at a light when he was following the silver skyline. I think he's running without an exhaust, not sure, it was loud though. It's pretty much like old times, a cat and mouse game with the cops all night. I think Saturday night will be even better, but I'll be out of town, oh well.

Where's everyone been lately? I got my HICAS car just about ready for swap. Pretty much all HKS and JIC parts :boink: I got the new HKS Intercooler. They did away with the Type-S and Type-R. Atleast, I'm pretty sure. They took the aluminum piping off the R and put it on the S. Yes..I think this means no more curved endtanks :wtc: But oh well. Can anyone score me some seats? Mine are in terrible condition. I'll take stock ones, grey cloth. I just need super cheap fronts. Thanks guys. I've got a list of $4500 not including the engine. I'll post pics as soon as I get them.

It be nice to have some type of meet and autocross at the same time so here my thoughts for us VA,MD people. Be nice to see a good 240 show up mainly cause me and my friends was the on other 240sx there.

Just to give everyone the heads up. Two 240s with SRs have been stolen. IvanS13 being one of them. Please keep a close eye on your ride and do what you can to protect it.

ok heres the cheapest....if you have a drive way and 2 cars park your other car behind your 240 (blocking it in) also get one of those car covers...set up a camera haha if your really paranoid........that really sucks

was this guys car taken at Circuit city? I heard last night of this guy getting his 240 jacked at a circuit city. Not sure if it was fairfax or not. This guy said his friend was closing the store, heard his car start and when he got out to see, the car was gone. I'm paranoid as hell right now. My car just got running today..still not top shape, from getting jacked. Very paranoid to put anything back on it. At least they left me my car. I guess :smash:

yeah... well the nissan junkyard is a rip off at least. One of their other junkyards (for mazda/ford parts) is pretty cool. I've gotten a lot of free stuff from there with purchases of more than $50. They don't negotiate, but let u take free parts.

Other than that, u can find cheaper prices. car-part.com is your best bet.
