Hello,

Sorry for the NOOB question : Do I really have to loosen the water drain plug on the engine block when flushing and changing the collant? Is there a significant drawback not loosening the water drain plug? It's impossible to reach that nut =[ Please help

I'll be using antifreeze (if that makes any difference). The car- 200sx s14 '96 sr20det

Well then how do you normaly change coolant? Do you use the water drain plug?
<Or maybe I'm mistaken, and this isn't the water drain plug>

the drain plug should be on the bottom of the rad, but if there isnt just loosen the clamps on the bottom rad hose and slowly pull it off til a little bit comes out...if you pull it off very quickly it will go all over the place

Thank you for the advice on the radiator hose :)
Well according to the manual there should also be an engine drain plug, not just the radiator one.
But if it worked for you, then it'll do for me. I'll leave the engine drain plug alone :) Thanks ;)
