I need to replace my O2 sensor on my blacktop s13 sr20det. Yes, I've used the search button and it's not giving me any definitive answers. I ended up buying the the 87 300zx TT sensor but it's bigger than the Sr's.. so that's not gonna do it. I've heard that the 90's Pathfinder sensor will work, but has anyone done this? And if so, please let me know what year. I've also heard newer 300zx works too, and if so, what year and model. thanks! Let's answer this once and for all. (Btw - I've tried phase2motortrend as well, but it seems to be down.)

not sure if it's the same, but I'd think so (is yours 2 wire or 3? PDM carries the 3 wire)

Yea, I saw the PDM website.. I called and asked them about it and they said they weren't sure if the Redtop o2 sensor was the same as the blacktop s13. I am pretty sure it should be the same since they are virtually identical, but I don't want to wait a week for it to ship from canada only to find out it doesn't fit. Also, it'd be nice to find a domestic replacement available since I can just go to the local auto parts store. I need the part ASAP. btw, the links didn't work for me.. Any info would help.. thanks!

Okay, I finally pulled off the old O2 sensor and went to a autoparts store to match the sensor. They ended up matching it up with a early 90-94 maxima. So I guess u guys can add that to the list. The only thing is that the line is quite a bit longer, but works great and the plug stays intact. This again is for a sr20det s13 blacktop.

Blues13 how much was the sensor for the maxima?

The sensor came out to be like 90 bucks.. bit pricey, but I didn't have time to buy online.. it's a factory not universal so costs a lot more.

what was the difference in ur gas mileage? what were u getting before and after?... i believe that the s13 blacktop sensor is fatter than the redtops

Well, I'm not sure about the gas mileage since I had a leaking rubber fuel line that I just replaced along with the O2 sensor.. either way, it was horrible. I would imagine 15-17 mpg with the leaky line.. it seems better now, but I haven't gone through a tank yet.

Yea, I've heard that the blacktop sr uses the fatter O2 one as well.. which is making me believe that the blacktop in my car is a redtop with a black cover. Does anyone know if the blacktop s13 ECU ever used #62 or are they all like J3(or something like that)? Is there a way to tell a engine redtop from a blacktop besides the valve cover? Hmm.. bout to start a new thread.
