What I'm working with
Its a s13 blacktop from a 97-98 180sx I know this because I matched the pinout on the harness so I'm using a j4 ecu.
its a 92 base model coupe with walboro, stock fpr, greddy fmic, stock mafs injectors eeverything.
everything was wired according to frsports guide

Problem
It cranks, has spark and I'm getting fuel
I checked the spark by pulling the plugs and grounding them then turning the cas and they all spark. the plugs are wet so i know i'm getting fuel. In case it was flooded i left them out for a while.
I checked fuel by sticking the return line in a bottle and priming my fuel pump.
I pulled the rocker cover to set the cas and i've reset it multiple times.
unplugged the mafs and still no start.
all the injectors have 12 volts and I hear them clicking.

edit: got it to start
solution-CAS/TIMING.

Are you getting power to the ecu? Is the light on?

yeah the orange wire is wired in.. I will try the cas again and get a friend over here so I can turn it while they crank. But with the key in the on position there is no light on the j4 ecu.. does this mean a bad ecu? I thought if i'm getting spark and everything it means the ecu is alright

If your nOt getting power to the ecu then ofcourse it will crank but not start. Trouble shoot n try to find out power source to the ecu. I know that there's only a couple of wires different In the j4 ecu compared to the 62 or e5. Is your power wires n relay hooked up correctly and grounded?

If you have spark and your injectors are clicking you have power to your ecu. check your timing, everyone struggles with timing on sr.

How old is the fuel in the tank?

Thanks for the input guys it finally started it was definitely the timing/cas. now I need to figure out why my greddy type s bov doesn't release?? it is secondhand from zilvia.. but all i'm getting is wastgate flutter from the intake. otherwise i'm so happy it revs freely and sounds good can't wait to get this bish back on the road.

Top right of intake manifold.

yeah disassembled the bov and the inner rubber diaphragm ofis bad.. so its just a major boost leak right. its also welded to the cold pipe making it impossible to recirculate. -1 for that purchase. its not boosting and its not really warming up? I think the thermostat is stuck open sometimes it gets hot when i'm driving but otherwise not really. Which is weird because its a brand new oem one. would a boost leak do that? probably going to order cx racing piping and bov on monday. need to drive for school and work -_-//
