View Full Version : Chicago: Oct. 11th The Driven All Nissan Meet

Yet another meet, this one by The Driven (http://www.thedriven.org)(chicago nissan club). They are deeming this the big meet of the year. For those that werent at the last big meet (which is all of you but the banned guy and me) basically just means BBQ, Raffles, maybe best car contests.

Last years Big meet was a real success, like 70 cars, lots of prizes (posters, toys, dyno run, etc...), and lots of food. Although it was a bit warmer last year, its taken a turn for the worse in temps this side.

Last lot on the southwest entrance, just after the bridge on your left if you are coming from the east.

Of course raffles arent free, but food is this time around, so for you hungry Nissan owners, stop by :aw: .

the 11th hey, that gives me till then to get my motor re-ringed tune up the car for 15psi and get my ass down there... sounds like i plan.

hey jake, did you do anything to your ecu at all??? if not, i'll run with you on the freeway for top speed, just to see who can go faster, eheheheeh.... i got a lil something for ya :coolugh: but!!!! if you did do something to the ecu, then forget it, eheheh.

have yet to tuch the ecu, we will see where i can go stock. oh man you didnt hear, i got the car running and the thing saw the natural curve of the turbo, I laid a 100 foot burn mark in second and freakin moved (saw about 35psi) now i need new rings.

Another Chi-town meet?

I think I'm going to plan something for Ohio, and soon.

Would you guys be down for one more cruise? It's a tad-bit warmer here than in Chicago right now.

Something in Akron? Cleveland?

I'd go depending on date and whats happening. I wouldnt mind, especially since so many of you guys come out to our meets (sometimes more than the locals:bash: )

Not much to show off, but always fun getting to know people that I dont see at every meet :)

I sure as hell hope so. I will try and get out there before 1, cuz Phay and his friend with the KA-T S13 are supposed to come, so they arent the only 240s.

I won't ditch out early this time, food will keep me company :D.

if i could find the darn place. and also, ohio huh. I know that on nico (nissaninfiniticlub.net) they're having a meet in indianapolis on the 18th. that's a lil closer to cincinatti, probably an hour drive, i'd say. but we'll see.

its actually easy as hell to get to.

its just of if 290 IIRC, once you exit you should just have to turn left on higgins and go to the last entrance on the right and thats it (go to the end).

I dont think i can make it, unless my parts come today there is know way the car is rolling. I might have to shoot for the 18th meet. Man i just wish i could hang out with some Nissan people.

Come with no car, makes no difference, we dont stare at each others cars for too long anyway, so it makes no diff if your car is thier or not.

I know my car won't be there, my exaust and a rail road crossing had an unfortunate meeting. Ripped the muffler half off, ripped the hangers off, so from the cat back just hangs there. So if I do go I will be wiff out my 240

oh man, you know what? haha, i'm also waiting to see if i can get a date with this one chic... i dunno if that's gonna ruin my plans to come down to the meet or not. i dunno. jake, call me tomorrow. and the rest of you guys, if you see me, you see me. if not, then oh well, i'm probably out having fun with someone :drool: eh heheh

Bring her to the meet. What could be more romantic that having her sit in the car for a couple hours while you look at other peoples cars. :D

lol ya, real fun, especially for people from out of town. Remember Willie brought his girl to one, even Omar had to drive his girl back, lol.

The only girls that ever had fun at meets were Irena, Heather, and Karl's girl, but they all either had a 240 or knew a lot about em.

Anyone from west burbs wanna drive together to this meet, Duff and I are meeting at noon at the starbucks (next to Krispy Kreme), on Route 53 by the Cinemark/IMAX theatere in woodridge.

If we aren't there and its past noon we prolly left.

Meet was kinda slow to begin with, but picked up around 2ish to 3.

Lot was full at some points so prolly around 70 cars like the last meet. Weather was great, I didn't win the alarm I wanted :(, but got a mossy t-shirt with a 350z on the back :) . Food was good.

There were 5 240s. Me, Duff, matt4pl (don't think he posts on here much, has a white 4 lug S14), another guy in my black twin (forgot name, but he came with an FC TII, FD, TT MKIV Supra,3KGT VR4, MK2 Turbo MR2), and lastly a car most of you have prolly seen. Its the Godl S14 with S15 front and Supra tails that was in Import Tuner, the guy driving it, bought it and did a bunch of stuff too it. The tails look pretty nice in real life.

Surprisingly there were 6 or 7 300ZXs there. Usually there is 1 to 2. And of course the usual Sentras and Maximas, and altimas. 2 DET Sentras, and 1 Galant VR4.

My imagestation doesnt seem to work anymore, and I dont feel like uploading pics the hard way, IM me and tell me what you want to see (UBettaRecognize5), I didnt really take that many pics anyway.

Sorry I missed the meet I had to go down to Champaign to see Michigan State kick the sH*% out of Uof I. My car is going to into hibernation for the winter in the next couple of weeks. That gold s14 looks really nice and I would have liked to have seen it. Talk to you guys later, nice pics kid
