Ok I need help I just drove through a big puddle and stalled the car out but managed to get it started. When it fired it was spraying white smoke at 1st but it stopped. It now idles at 900 and it feels like its misfiring and also is making a noise that sounds like its gonna throw a rod its also had a valve tick and it maybe got worse also the temp gauge is stating the motor is still cold any idea on what happened or what's going on its a twin cam

First, never a good idea to drive into a puddle of water knowing your car is gonna sink :smash:
Second, white smoke is due to the hot engine and cold water creating steam :fruit:
Third, do what 95_S14 suggested. Also, if you bottomed out check your radiator...

I did the same thing once in my Altima. I had to take the spark plug boots off and the distributor and blow all the water out with some compressed air. I also sprayed some WD-40 in the spark plug wells then blew them out again. It was ok after that. The WD-40 helps displace moisture.

Sounds like you hydrolocked your car, and bent a rod or thrashed your bearing...
Does your car have a Cold air intake?

Check for any wires that could have come loose. Try unplugging your maf and see if it runs better or worse. Have you taken the spark plugs out?
