thinking about buying these tires for the stock 7 spoke SE wheels. i was thinking maybe 205/55/15 but my car is stock ride height, will the 55 profile be that noticeable? will 215's fit on the stock rim? or should i stick with the recommended sizes? (195,205)/60/15

i was looking for some good bang for the low-buck. no autox or track use just daily spirited driving. any suggestions, recommendations, or experiences?

Just FYI, the Ziex 512's aren't particularly grippy tires. They are better than the Kumhos though, but far inferior to AVS ES-100's...

Plus 0 sizing to a 205/55 is perfectly fine. It won't be that noticeable, maybe a .3 inch less difference with the 55 series tires. You get more tread width as far as the 205 is concerned. Also, Falkens tend to have a stiff sidewall, so try to find your preference of a soft/stiff sidewall, depending on your type of driving. The ze-512s are a good street tire for the price. Also try the Toyo FZ4, Yokohoma ES100, Dunlop FM901, Bridgestone RE750, or Kumho 711.

i checked prices on the other tires u guys mentioned and theyre more expensive than the ziex, except for the kumho 711's but they only come in 50 series profile there is a 215/55/15 but some1 recommended against going wider than a 205 on the stock SE alloys.

205/60 will have a softer ride..

A 215 will fit fine on your wheels. I've had two 215/60/15's and two 205/60/15's Dunlop SP Sport A2's on my 15x6 stock alloys for a year and a half now. They look and feel the same as the 205/60/15's. The extra deflection will probably be unnoticable.

Heres a picture.

axel grungy did you own a g2? oh btw i own ziex 512s in 205/55/16 and like them a lot, but i liked the extra roll of sidewall the stock dunlops had on em, oh well, these grip better.
