I looked up on the optima site and they "recommend" a different model # for a 240...will this one fit?

This is not a direct replacement battery for the 240. I think the post are on the wrong sides but if you plan to relocate the battery it will work just fine. Also if the cables for the stock battery are long enough you could run this battery in the stock location but I'm not 100% sure of that.
