i still have the ka24e in my car that runs like complete junk. i bought everything that i need for the swap (engine, trans, harness, ecu, maf, ect) and i have the engine torn down right now. i have CP pistons, eagle rods, arp head studs, clevite bearings, and now i am working on parts for my head. Just got my stage 2 turbo cams from fedex today.

right now my car is just lowered on tein basic coils and got 17x9 rota grid wheels

I love the 17x9s but in order to fit it is a good idea to roll the rear fenders. Unfortunately they they scrap my front fender while turning. So I would go with like a 17x8.5 for the fronts.

I don't fuck too much with turbos either. The T3 I've got has like no shaft play after 130,000 miles and I don't plan on throwing more than 300 hp into my Z. Can't wait to get this fucking VG33 block back from the machine shop, everything is ready to be bolted on and bolted in. Should be pretty mean, utilizing the stock VG30ET turbo on a higher compression truck motor.

I got my dohc built with forged internals and stage 2 cams, i just bought a Greddy Ti-C exhaust. i still need to find a new radiator and overflow. also need header down pipe and test pipe. the entire interior got gutted (climate control, back seats and panels, and sound deadning). for now thats all i got.

My son has a 97 that we are having problems with hub bearings and hubs. The front wheel bearing was bad. We removed the hub and ordered a bearing. the bearing we got was a BCA 510031. This wheel bearing was wrong. The ID is way off. The BCA bearing ID is 1.1811, OD is 2.6772 and the width is 1.7717. We took the hub to a machine shop to remove the old bearing. They broke the hub trying to get the old one out. It appears the old berings dimensions are ID 1.335,OD 2.955 and width is 2.10. These are guesses. I am assuming that the hub has been swapped or ungraded? Anyone have any experience with this? Can we give some more info to you guys to get some help?

I need hub and 2 wheel bearings. We are in the south central MI area...

Yea that's kind of what i said. This dude I know from michigan told me all of these lingo terms. I'm a traveling pipe welder. So yea Michigan has jobs....the whole country/world has jobs. It's a recession proof job. 80-120k easily a year. You can make anywhere from 2-5k a week. No joke. Biggest I've made in a week is about 3k. Average is about 2k a week for me. This is my first year though, so I'm still gaining experience and learning the life. Not to mention fat tax returns because you can claim all the rent, tools, clothes etc. Just depends on how bad you really want to work. Hell some make more than that and take months off. The lifestyle is rewarding yet has its downfalls. Live in shithole hotels most the time to stack even more cash. Being single and no kids is almost ideal (iv heard many horror stories). I just quit the job I was on in Arkansas, was there for 9 months. Probably be in Michigan for 3-4 months depending on if I like it or they start skimping hours. Anything less than 60 hours a week I get into my look for another job mode. I got a rb25 to build damn it!! Give me the cash!

I have competed in The Drift Effect 1 & 2, SLT 2010, MDU 2011, Drift Battle 2010. I recently opened 3S Customs (3S Customs Home (http://www.3scustoms.net)) which is dedicated to building drift cars. I then purchased the U.S. Drift franchise here in Michigan and started throwing events last year. I started The Motor City Mayhem Tour in 2011 which is an amateur drifting & time attack championship racing series which has sparked quite a lot of attention, creating an amazing group of new drivers and fans here in Michigan. We have an awesome set of tracks lined up for our 2012 season, our first event is Saturday July 9th 2012 at Dixie Motor Speedway. We recently shut down the streets in Detroit to get people excited for the 2012 racing season, here is what went down.

Hey new to the site, I recently got a 95 240sx se with a red top sr20det and am from Kalamazoo MI, it has basic bolt ons:
T28 Turbo
Isis bottom mount manifold
3" exhaust (RSR, Megan, and Flowmaster)
FMIC
Aluminum Radiator (can't remember brand)
Emusa Coilovers
Now for the bad, when i first got it home it was running on 3 cylinders, and misfiring really badly. After finding out one of the exhaust manifold stud had been broken and the manifold wasn't sealing to the block. Took everything out, put new exhaust studs and new gasket because the one that was on there was broken. Only to find that the oil drain plug had been broken in half and then someone tried to weld it back together (not a good job at all restricted oil flow!) not to mention it wasn't the correct one for the turbo and didn't fit very well (gasket was also broken). There have been a number of other dumb things done with this conversion such as sensors not being grounded and also vacuum line coming from BOV was T'd into the fuel pressure line (thats a no no). Forgot to mention one of the silicone couplings to the FMIC was torn and had been wrapped with duct tape to fix it (oil was dripping out of this spot from oil blow by from turbo, just installed oil catch can and hopefully this solves the problem). Last the coil packs weren't even bolted to the intake (I'm pretty sure thats what keeps them in place and also grounds them) With all this being said this car is a work in progress. This car did come from Xceedspeed so you may have seen it. The body isn't in the best conditions and i will be working on that later. I don't want to bad talk anyone but this car looks to be as if this swap was rushed, this car also has a big sticker in the engine bay that says "3S" from 3S custom. I have posted some pics from the PO and the last pic is from 3S custom's website (3S Customs Current Projects (http://www.3scustoms.net/currentprojects.html)) I'm pretty sure my car is in the lower left corner with a different engine (was told this engine came from Jason at 3S custom and sat for awhile b/c it was missing parts). With all this being said after slowly finding and fixing the problems i do love the car!
Last if anyone close to Kzoo has a hood, passenger corner light, and drivers headlight for a Zenki i would be very interested in purchasing these!

Just letting everyone know i was able to fix my oil leak and now my s14 is running great! I will get pics up as soon as my phone lets me to show you the work i did today!

So today i worked on oil outlet from the t28 turbo. the first pic is of the new oil return (straight up and down) Vs. the old oil return (the crapper 45 degree one). Its hard to tell from the pics but the person who tried to make this fit really messed this up, not only does it look like crap the entire inside is full of weld and really restrict oil flow!!! The new oil return i used was from a mid 90's saab with a t25 turbo. This oil return looked almost identical to the original (except the 45 degree and crappy weld) all i had to do was drill out the holes a tad, the stock nuts on the saab were 10mm and new ones for the t28 were 12mm (not to much bigger) after putting the new oil return on i see why they chose to use a 45 degree angle, it fits perfectly to the block. After drilling the new holes i sanded down the ruff edges on the new oil return. However with the one i chose using heater hoes it wanted to buckle in the middle (there had to a 90 degree from the oil return to block). This is where the next picture comes into play, i found the 90 degree brass elbow at lows ($2.50ish). Now with this new setup it looked easy but i now i the everyone once and awhile a clamp would touch the steer column knuckle (this is not alright) had to play with the hose sizes a bit but got it work! Put everything back together and started it, oil still was dripping (WTF?!?!?) Let the engine cool down again and began diagnosing the problem, it seems when i was putting the turbo back in last week i put new crush washers on all the banjo bolts but never tightened down the oil inlet (not a banjo bolt on turbo). So not wanting to take my full turbo setup off again just to spend 5 minutes tightening down the inlet. I was able to use a crows foot (12mm) and about 18" extension to get it to tighten down! Oh forgot to mention love have enough space to stand between my radiator and belts!

lol i've been living in monroe for about 5 months now for a job. The roads here (Detroit area) completely suck. I mean the worst I have ever witnessed. Ford and Chevy should be using this place as a testing facility for truck suspension. Any kind of stiff suspension will kill you. Honestly this area is a shit hole. Stock isn't soft enough for this area. Keep the 4x4 status a stock 240 comes with. It will save you. Hell I would go for a lift kit. Daily driving here will take a huge toll on suspension maintenance, not to mention any kind of wheels. It's almost to the point where you wonder if they leave it like this on purpose.

Daily driving here will take a huge toll on suspension maintenance, not to mention any kind of wheels. It's almost to the point where you wonder if they leave it like this on purpose.

Yeah it's got the notchtop blacktop sr in it with a t28. It's pretty sweet. Haha. Just gotta get some interior pieces for it and it'll be real sweet.

Yep, that was the same picture. Hit a few speedbumps but I'm still shooting to have it rolling for the msu show April 21st. With some long nights and a bit of luck, hopefully no more breaking things, I'll be able to enjoy some RWD goodness again.

The Midwest Drift Union is the regional Pro-AM series. May 4th is Round 1 in Indianapolis. If you want to see some cars driving instead of parking you should take a road trip down there with us.

Drift Indy and MDU are different organizations ran by the same people. Drift Indy is mainly for funsies, MDU is competition for a FD license. Both are really fun because Indy knows how to party.

hmmm.... what? I call bullshit on both Gingerman and Grattan. There are no drift events there. Grip only type stuff. I would love for you to prove me wrong because I'll be there in a heartbeat.

Autocity Speedway in Clio is just about the only track that allows drifting on a regular basis.

The Motor City Mayhem tour, head by Jason Schroomer, has a few other tracks, but they are all in the Detroit area.
