I'm traveling away from home right now for work and these thoughts are driving nuts after an 8 hour drive.

I acquired an rb25 swap running like a turd in a fish bowl. I was told the guy had it running good stock then added a Q45 throttle body, larger injectors, bigger turbo, freddy intake manifold and power fc.

So after much digging and testing yesterday I fixed the inverse TPS signal to the Q45 throttle.

Realized the injectors installed are low impedance (I am praying the power fc is not fried). They check out at 2.6 ohms, stock is 11.4 ohms. This brings about the first question.

Question 1: Since the pictures are not working in Archive FAQ section of adding a resistor box... is the only thing a resistor box does is add a resistor in series capable of handling the applicable power to the 12V supply to each individuak injector?

It appears my harness has had the SPL Process treatment by mckinney motorsports then someone hacked it up further and is missing the knock sensor plugs and oild sending unit plug. On top of that the transmission wiring harness is cut.

Quiestion 2: What other Nissan engine (stateside Nissan engine) would use the same knock sensor plug and oil sending? KA isn't an option. Also if anyone has a picture of where this come out of the stock harness I very appreciate if you could post it or send it to me.

I appreciate any help.

let me see how close i get to this.

Q1. What you are looking for is a fixed value resistor which in return just decreases the amount of voltage applied to components (injector)

Q2. Don't understand why you havent just got another knock sensor off an rb25.. but a z31 in 1987 looks to have the same 1 prong green plug that you are looking for.

For Q1 what I was getting at is, does the resistor just go in series after the injector (basically the ground wire of the injector) so that the injected sees the 12v and the resistor sees whatever voltage drop the injector does to the circuit.

For Q2 I just need the plugs and picture, the actual sensors are still there.

eh?

For Q1: I haven't done it before but here's a schematic

For Q2: As said a VG30e knock sensors is the same p/n as the rb25 so the connector should work.
