I'm curious if the float is stuck too, mine always worked fine and then randomly stopped when I filled up...

it take less then 15 mins to remove the pump assembly....remove it and see if the sending unit is bad...or if the float has a tiny hole in it...etc...etc...not super hard to check....

your floater probably came off the sending unit track take it off and put it back on its track.. its happen to me before. and it will continue to happen if you drift =] i dont mind it at all jus remember to change out your o-ring

OOOO def check this out been driving not knowing how much gas I have :bash: just been throwing money at it. Plus new layout at Balcony at WSIR made me hit my quarter panel where the gas door is. Kept telling myself that was why.

Bump. I didn't want to start a new thread, but does anyone else have an accuarcy issue with there Fuel guage. My issues is anytime I take a quick corner or on ramp, my fuel gauge will drop up to a quarter of a tank and then take a few mins to go back to the right level. Really annoying! Anyway to fix this?

Check your floater first. That's exactly what happened with mine, except I always have over a full tank...

I have the same issue. Haven't gotten around to fixing it however it's intermittent. it's either a float with a hole in it or it fell off, a sock or something in the tank it's catching on, the sending unit or the gauge. Garage411.com Has great troubleshoot DIY articles on this. Oh btw there's absolutely no need to remove the pump to test it. You should have .5 ohms or resistance on your ground side. If that continuity is present, well your pump is fully functional. However it would be nice to remove the pump to see whats up with the float and sock. gl guys.

i had the same issue in my s14. the float just fell off and was laying in the bottom of the tank. i took it out and slid it back on the tabs and it fixed the problem.
