Hey guys,
I bought a Garrett GT2871R last year,
I am preparing to raise the boost to 16 psi this summer..
My engine had good compression but I was wondering if I should change any parts or do a refresh before doing so?
I was not planning on resreshing the engine prior to raising boost, I've been reading on it and it looks like SR20's are pretty solid engines...
Let me know what you guys think!

Check out the 2871r thread for some other opinions on the setup. For 16 psi you will be fine on the stock engine, just ensure you've got the fuel to back it up.

As long as you have the supporting mods (ECU/Tune, Fuel, MAFS) it'll be fine. I pushed over 500 rwhp on a stock botom end for several years (and that engine is still running great).

Metal Headgasket, headstud , fresh rings and bearing are a must before you doubling the hp on nissan engine from my experience.
