not really anything that i know of...only recent events would be some private track days down at Buttonwillow, which are awesome, or the Hyperfest crap, which i've heard licks ba!!s...

dunno about anything else coming up in the near future..

Weird?

Seems to me that you dont get around much here.

Theres a Drift and Grip event every month. Sometimes every week.

BTW: I should have another Drift/Grip Private Event around October 21st or so.

If you guys are down for it please email me at [email protected]

It will be at Buttonwillow Raceway. East loop once again.

but buttonwillow is not norcal! I tried to get a norcal event going, and seeing as I am only 1 guy with no affiliation with any club/company, I tried my best to find a way. just one snag, insurance. it'll cost at least 2000-3000$$ for insurance to hold a proper drift event. it may be lower if a private parking lot would lend us the area, but i don't think anyone would consider it. I say wait, it'll eventually pop up, drifting will be everywhere next year. in the meantime, start autocrossing. it's a great way to learn car control, and they're everywhere in norcal. www.sfrscca.org . i'm gonna start autox, I started drifting first, but i didn't know jack shit about control. kept spinning out or understeering. by the end of the year i will be in total control of my car and be able to perform the drifts i want! :D :D

Buttonwillow is one of the nicest and closest track on Norcal. (thunderhill pfftt)

Insurance for Parking Lot is about $10000, not $3G's. I've been gathering information to hold a drift event at a parking lot here in NORCAL but too much hassle and money involve.

20 Bucks for three runs VS $120 for 6-7 Hour track time with less than 20 cars = PRICELESS!

Someone should set something up at thunderhill. Buttonwillow is a long way from the bay.

i second that...PRICELESS...greatest event i've been to yet was the last one..count me in 100% for the next..

i know Nic and Scott are down too...and Ellie (who was taking pictures last time) just picked up a Miata...so maybe we can get that out on the track as well...:D

under 3 hours away from Santa Cruz...and we are all the way on the coast...San Jose should be even less of a drive cause you already start out on fast freeways..SF might be a little more but still, a 3 hour drive is more then worth it...:D

You are so going down Nokeone!!!! Just in case you wern't aware...I did the best I could!!! And honestly I learned so much abou driving from Frank...it's true that you have to learn the lines and grip first...it makes you a better drifter in the end.

Not sure if Takumi is gonna show up...maybe I can convince him to go...

everyone!!..this is the absolute BEST bang for the buck event...there is no question that the amount of seat time you get vs. the cost is staggering...

grip, drift, little of both...whatever you want this is the place to do it..
