So clean, but I guarantee you you wont have bites for 6k with a salvage title. It's awesome you are showing the crash pic though, so we know you aren't lying about the reason.

All I'm saying is decent koukis go here for 6k all day with a clean title. Might want to rethink.

Either way, I understand the value. Interested in any trades?

wrong. In cali as far as i've seen many of the people add the "drift tax" and sell stock kouki's for over 7-8,regardless if it's a salvage or not the price is not to low not to high either. Good looking kouki

i wouldn't even sell you my Zenki for that much. that's an insult. this man's S14 is Rare Color, Limited Year production, and the last of it's kind. He will not have a problem getting 6K for it....

1998=1200ish made which only 20% of them came in factory five speed which only a hand full came in this color with all of the above. IF you are a true s14 fan this is probably about as rare as it gets. unless you have one in Mediterranean blue which is the only other color more rare than this... GLWS and do not price drop any more OP. you REALLY DO have probably the rarest care for sale on here at the moment.

No disrespect to the OP, just offering what I have... Also, sometimes people are in a jam and need cash, I was when I sold my 180sx s13. I love Kouki's all day long, I personally don't think an s14 Zenki can really compare (pertaining to price and style) - but then that's my opinion.

Fortunately, I'm not hurting for cash and am only trying to sell it so that I can get into another vehicle. Thank you for the offer and if you feel like throwing me a more reasonable offer I will certainly entertain it.

At your current rate of lowering your sale price you will have a buyer sometime next month , because then you will be asking around 4300 which is more than fair for a salvaged title s14, kouki or not.

I seriously think you miss understand what salvaged title means.
It means, ok for track only car, but very risky of a street car. If someone crashed it or stole it they would be out the money, cause the insurance company will not give you full coverage.
Can you imagine someone buying your car for your steep price, and a week later someone steals it cause it looks like the what your car should be, minus the title?
they would be screwed.

You expect someone to shell out 5500 dollars and with a salvaged title.

The paint? RARE? would mater if the front bumper paint was not messed up, but it is and its a salvaged title. That rare color crap doesnt matter if the cars title is salvaged because it only matters for collectors, and who would collect a salvaged title car?

The exhaust, nice. If you want your money for that sell it, and put a stock one on the car, and once you bring your price to what a salvaged title is worth you could have a buy. Dont expect to get money for your mod list and your salvaged title car all at the same time.

Also, anyone can paint their car that rare color, and the reason the insurance company salvage titled your car, is because the worth of your car was not worth double the price of fixing it. that means your asking too much.

Sorry if I am being a dick, just calling it how it is. So many people jumping on here like it is a deal gives people the misconception that your sitting on a gold mine of a car.
If you are reading this thread and are a noob looking to buy a car, don't get suckered.

I have a 1998 Silver moss 5 speed too.

Of the 1200 made in '98, and of the +-400 or so that were 5 speed, Id be inclined to say that there are less than 100 Silver moss 5 speed 1998's in existence.

Salvage title or not- thats exclusivity that a beat ass s13 will never reach, no matter how much money you put into it.

Title status is a factor, and most likely THE factor causing the price to be as low as it is. Ive had offers on my car (bone stock at the time) for $8000 and ive turned them down. His car is in at LEAST comparable condition, but with a salvage title. I dont think $2500 less than its actual value is unreasonable, especially since theres a picture of the damage, and the damage itself was minimal. Illvialover, I can see the point youre making, but at the end of the day- your entire post is OPINION. Your opinion may differ highly from someone elses, but I promise you there are people that cream their pants over silver moss, and wouldnt hesitate to pick one up on the cheaps. I personally hate silver moss, and I assume it doesnt do much for you- but seriously... people go ape shit over it.

Point being, if you dont like his price.. dont post!

Well, it depends on what you're going to do with the 240 when you get it. If you're gonna keep it stock, then you shouldn't worry about not having full coverage. But if you plan on building it up, you should think twice. Full coverage is always nice because it give you that warm safe feeling inside, that's why people have full coverage on their cars.
If you mod up your 240, keep you receipts because the insurance agency is only going to pay you for your car unless you have hard evidence it is worth more.

P.S. I can't believe people were unaware that you could not fully insure a salvaged automobile, it's astounding. haha.

Thats the elitist attitude that many car buyers possess- and its that exact mentality that I LOOOOOVE because Ive gotten SUCH good deals on cars in the past that were salvaged but had NOTHING wrong with them.

Its just a peice of paper. If the work was done properly, the Salvage title means NOTHING aside from a $2500 discount on the price of the car.

Same with mileage. Mileage doesnt mean shit. You can find a BEAT car with 50k miles, or a MINT car with 160k.

Buying a car with such a narrow mind ensures that youll never find deals like I do. Which is fine- theres a certain amount of risk involved in buying a salvage car. No risk, no reward.

I picked up an '02 Subaru WRX shell last week for $1500. Even with a salvage title, Ill still sell it for an easy 6k with under $3000 invested. There are plenty of people that jump at the opportunity to save big on a salvaged car, especially a situation like this where the damage is shown, and has already been fixed. You know the car wasnt cut in half and welded back together. Thats all I really care about- if the car was in a front end collision and has been fixed and drives straight, whats the problem?

It's a nice looking car, and though it seems that there wasnt much damage, a salvage title is still a salvage title and the insurance companies are not going to say "well, it is a rare kouki". Lol
Those of you spouting off that "this is a rare opportunity", and that it's "completely worth the price", are complete idiots. At the end of the day it's a NISSAN, with no direct racing lineage, no certificate of authenticity, and no important impact on the automotive market place that would make it a collectible vehicle outside this forum.

The only guy that got this right is the one who explained the implications on trying to insure this thing - it won't happen at full value.

Just keep your ride.
Unless you start to see these things on the auction block at Barret-Jackson or Christie's, don't try and play the "collectible" card.

If you plan to fix up the car with nice parts and not turn it around and sell it for more money then a salvage title isn't so bad. Just make sure everything is good on it. It seems that a lot of people here are factoring resale value into the price. A plus is that the car is a 5 speed.
