sorry the meet for dlemar seems to be hecka far so it has bin canceled for us bay area folks. lol. but there is on much closer the HYPERFEST D1 NATIONALS at sears point. Its still a bit far on the 25th october so if peeps wanna start to post, if yall wanna do this meet at SF or at my place in concord i am down i either way. i will supply snack and drinks so we can chill for a bit at my place before heading out,there is a huge church parkin lot right by my house so no problem parking, and "lot of open space" lol if yall know what i mean, but yea hit me up with what yall wanna do so i can perpare for it. :) :bow:

Hey man don't knock the single cam. My brother is doing up his single cam. 7.0:1 comp ration, block completely balanced and blue printed, Complete race head and cam, 50lb injectors, Jim wolf ECU, and turbo is in the mail. Don't know if we'll have it in by then though. We're looking at pushing up over 400hp at 25psi.

Sears point is an hour away from cocnord, and its a pretty tight ride. Yo man its all good single or dual.240 is a 240. My first 240 was a single i loved it, faster revs. but duals r nice too. but u know whas better ? an SR20DET lol. thas what i am waiting for. I believe its $45 to take part in the event and its $15 to add a shotgun seat if u want someone to go with u. and the car show i believe is 20 bux i am not sure for the show.

SR's, RB's, and CA's are too played out. I'm sticking with some heavily tunned KA's. I'm waiting for my 10.5:1 pistons and my race head to be completed so that I can finish the motor that's in my garage in peices then throw it into my 240sx. Can't wait to see what a KA24E can do all motor. I just lost my KA24DETurbo silver 240sx, then luckly a week later found this nice red 240sx for $400.00. (Bad Points Automatic and the lady thought the original owner thought the engine was blown but it just needed a fuel pump.) I just finished the 5spd conversion this weekend.

But you're right I don't care what engine its packing a 240sx is a 240sx.

yea i give u props for tuneing a KA but the the fact is they r really hard to get good power out of them the best i have seen in 449whp with turbo. I prefer SRs because they r the orginal heart of a silvia, and have hella good balance and power output. plus u can tune them to be drag, race, drift. its a good all around engin. but anywayz so who will be showing up for sure. based on that i am gonna get snacks.:bow:

Who cares what motor you have/what you have/don't have.

Drifitng is all about fun and skill. There are people in Stock S-chassis with open diffs that can outdrift people in SR's and whatnot.

You don't need an SR to drift.

Who cares if shit is played out... if its cheap, easy to swap and makes good power, why are you NOT going to do it? Just to be different? Who cares.

Cobetto Racing and EVO Productions are sad to announce that the Hyper Fest event and the final round of the US Drift Nationals competition scheduled for October 25 and 26 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA is cancelled.



On September 18th, the Richmond, Va. offices of Cobetto Racing and EVO Productions sustained large amounts of damage due to hurricane Isabel. “It is very disappointing for us. We took extensive steps in preparation for the storm but Mother Nature is very powerful. Sears Point (Infineon Raceway) is only four weeks away and we will be lucky to have power back by then let alone replacement of equipment and repairs.” said Hyper Fest director, Chris Cobetto. “Unfortunately we are so late in the season that rescheduling is not an option.” Mr. Cobetto said.



Cobetto Racing and EVO Productions would like to thank all of their sponsors and supporters for understanding the difficult situation that Isabel has brought. Full refunds will be given to those that have pre-registered for the events taking place.



“We hate to cancel an event but at the same time we pride ourselves on producing excellent events and feel that the cleanup will detract from the needed preparation demanded by these large scale events. It wasn’t an easy decision, but the enormity of the problem came into focus after three days of cleanup.” Says Mike DeFord, Marketing and Event Director for EVO Productions.

there is also and open track day on the 22nd at Buttonwillow...this will a very fun, private, event for both grip and drift...i believe there are still a couple spots open...

Well said! Before I picked up my recent S14, I had an automatick S13 which I drifted like crazy and everyone would trip out that it was an auto. So that just goes to show you that if there's a will, there's a way.

Average time from L.A. to Oakland is approximately 6 hours at the most, if you follow the speed limit to a tee. I usually avg. about 4-5 hours depending on stops. The record I set going to L.A. was 3 and a half hours! =) This was in a Ford Aerostar averaging about 105 mph no less, hehehe. But yeah give urself like 5-6 hours just to be safe.

How many ppls are you expecting at your house? Everyone should bring something. Dont mooch off other people. My pockets arent too deep but i will bring some meat like i said but not for 20 or 30 ppl. (it will suck if there is no grill or a grill with no propane) As far as hyperfest goes i emailed the director of the program and ill see what he says. It could be the website hasnt been updated.
