having a problem with the clutch i think? its my first manual car so i have no idea whats going on.
i put in the clutch try to shift into a gear it doesnt go, i can jam it into gear but that isnt right. if i hold the shifter by the gear i can feel the trans turning
i can shift into all gears when the car is off. when it was working the clutch had to be to the floor to be able to shift.

adjust your clutch petal and see if that helps
the springs on the clutch probably came out of the socket. Happened to two of my friends that changed their cmc and slave.

if it doesn't make any grindng noises, then either your clutch master or slave are dead/dying or there's a leak in a line that's allowing air into the system. bleed the system first and see where that gets you. it would probably be a good idea to just replace your cylinders anyways since it's cheap/easy.

If your pedal feels solid still its your springs.. just go get another clutch dont drive it to much ive seen what the insides look like when people continue driving and its not that great

I would bet its the diaphram in your clutch master.
TIs cheap, and so is the clutch slave.
And its an easy job to do.
So for under $50 at autozone.
you can get,
clutch master cyclinder
slave cylinder
bottle of clutch/brake fluid.
Replace all of them,
bleed the system,
and try it out.
Cause its way easier then taking the transmission of just to "see" if its the issue.
BTW, how is the fluid level in the master cylinder?
BTW, it takes under an hour to do.
Last two times i did the master cylinder, i did it in a parking lot, lol.
you will need to jack the car up for the slave.
bleeding is way better with 2 people
make sure to set the handbrake.

i actually just jacked up the car and put it on stands to check out the slave seemed okay then i started the car when it was on the stands and went into every gear. still obv a problem seems like to might be fluid or master cylinder why else would it work when the car is on an incline. i dont see any fluid leaking anywhere.
yeah i dont really want to drop the tranny to check it out i wouldnt even know what im looking for

omg there is no fluid in the master cylinder at all! i assumed there was cause it looked like it i never actually opened it. what fluid do i use?
update. went to bleed, bleeder broke off yay. but then i pushed on the pin and fluid squirted out of there so i guess its a bad slave

might as well replace them both and be done with it.
sounds like they are both old.
I think it used to be clutch fluid, but now its all just brake fluid.
Ask the dude at autozone or were ever you go.
just dont accidently use powersteering like i did once.
