Chicago: Oct. 4th All Nissan Meet/HIN

Well since the rest of the nissan world never alerts us I'll do it.

There is an All Nissan Meet on October 4th, its at Wilson Harbor. If you were at the Lake Michigan 240 meet its in the same area, just down the street.

It is going to be like a regular meet, not sure on time, but prolly around 12 or 1 like the usual. Afterwards some of them are heading to HIN. If I have the time I might go, a decent way to kill a night.

This will probably be the last "official" gathering for 240s, winter is approaching real fast:rolleyes: . I will try and make it out to this meet, seeing as how I missed the last one.

Well, I might go to the meet...but I'm def. goin to HIN cuz I get to go for free and I'll just pitch in w/my crew for parking. So, at least for me, HIN is only about $5. Not too bad.

Alright, well I wasn't originally going to drive to HIN, but what the hell, I might as well come to the meet if I'm going to be in town. Sweet, I'm probably gonna get lost in Chicago.

good to hear your coming. Its relatively easy, cuz this meet is purposely set up to get to HIN and all, so if you know how to get to HIN just keep going north on Lake Shore Drive and exit on any of those east west roads on that map (lawrence, wilson, montrose), then its just drive around and look for cars.

There is also another meet next week, this is offically by TheDriven (Nissan club in chicago). This on will end up having a bigger turn out probably (well bigger with Sentras and Maximas). It will have free food and drinks (bbq style I guess), and also raffles. I'll make a thread for it next week or something.

Dunno if I can make that one (it all depends on work again).

lol! that green only shows in the daytime. at night, the green looks black and the rest just looks like twinkling stars. well anyway, I know my car won't win the show, but my friend's 300zx on the other hand might. we'll see. i should be able to make it. but i'm not going to HIN though, it's all the same cars every year. only thing worth looking at OVER and OVER and OVER again is the girls. but the rest, once or twice is good enough.

How Long do you guys normally stay around at the meets?

I am going to HIN, but we arent leaving here until about 4 so we wont be up until about 7

well it depends. The last meet 3 of like 20 people stuck around till like 11PM (from noon). But for the most part it depends on how tired we are, how hungry we are, and how cold we are.

So as to your answer I dont know, I would expect this not to last that long, well at least at that location. Its gonna be cold, and most of us will end up going somewhere warm, but I guess most of the Nissan guys wont be heading for HIN for a while.

i can't make this meet, sorry guys. other plans came up. gotta work on my buddy's car. i'll probably upgrade my fuel injectors to 450cc. if it's not healthy for my setup, then i'll change it back :) just a trial kinda thing. but yea, i'll probably see you guys on the 11th :bow:

HIN pretty much sucked. IMO. And I went for free. Saw a few semi-interesting things but nothing that different from the normal HIN stuff. Maybe next year will be good??

KID - Sorry, I didnt take many pics. I was out of there rather quickly. I got one for you though. "MODEL" with no shirt!! She had it airbrushed on her. And she looked rather cold. :eek:

Agreed... HIN was VERY unimpressive this time around. Favorite car there had to have been the Top Speed R34, I love that car more and more each time I see it.

Only remember seeing about 5 240's
the "LilGTR" yellow S14 w/ rb26 single turbo which has been posted on here before rather cleanly done, even though I dont care much for the kit on it.

Chamelion painted S14 w/ KAT that didnt look half bad actually, not my thing on the paint, but wasnt too shabby.

The S14 that was in the Nismo booth last show, very clean.

on HIDEOUS S14 that was black w/ all kinds of red/green/yellow/morecolors vinyl down the side of it. bleh.

and one maroon s13 pignose that was a pretty decent daily driver definately not a "show car", didnt care much for the Tenzo's on it, but still not bad.

I was happy that the one horrendous monstrosity of an S13 wasnt there that is white w/ 2 amps mounted to the OUTSIDE of the car, that thing is YUCKY.

But I honestly had more fun driving up w/ my buds than I did at the show, I wish we all could have came up earlier for the meet, but most of us had to work.

according to leo its sharoshes car, i snapped a pic of him on the streets, he lives near me apparently. at least i know what rims they are now, tsk tsk, gotta introduce him to some low offset light wheels :D.

And lil gtr is a very nice car, even with the kit, its been copied to hell, but i like everything but the front, but when i saw it, he didnt have front bumper, just a huge fmic.

The meet before wasn't to interesting, since i know nothing about sentras and maximas, but thats cuz no 240s showed up till later. Duff and the banned guy showed up after I left, oh well I'll be at the bbq at busse. food makes everything interesting:)

Kid, what time were the 240's there? We arrived about 3:00 (should've been 2:30, traffic on I-94 and South LSD was a bitch.) The only cars there were Altimas, SE-Rs, and an STi. Blah, I'll just come up sometime in the spring I guess.
HIN was pretty fun, considering I NEVER get to see cars like that. I was impressed with the RB26 S14. That car was hot. I'll post pics when I load them.

Well I am not to sure. I remember seeing a 240 on my way out, looked like Duffmans, but not too sure, couldnt see wheels and the crazy drop.

But Duffman and James said they were there a bit later on. I had left at about 2:30. I guess I shoulda stuck around a bit more, or showed up later.

You shoulda been at the meet when Karl brought his S14, I guess he never will again.

Man, That's one of the reasons I don't want my car to be in a show. Not to mention its not really a show car anyway, I wouldn't want anyone stealing what I've worked hard for. My sympathies to your stolen items and I hope that the people who took em get hit by a really big truck.
