Well i've beenin looking at getting a 240sx, but some people say i might be too tall... there aren't any 240's near where i live so i don't want to go on a road trip just t see if i can sit in one... I'm 6'2". im mostly worried about my head hitting the roof, but i know i can always move the seat back so the length of my legs don't matter but my torso is 3'1"... so just let me know if you know if i will sit comfortably in 1... i just found out that i'm half torso half legs...

You should be fine, especially if you get a bucket seat with low seat rails. I'm 6'1" and with a bride zeta and bride fg seat rails i fit.

get a reclinable and a dished steering wheel and you'll definitely be fine.

its a small car, but not too small for an over 6 foot guy.

Do you have long legs or a long torso? If you have a long torso you may have a prob. If you have long legs you should be good. Either way get an S14, it will fit you better.

Im 6' 5" and I switched to a non sunroof and Im good with the stock seats.

Im 6'7" and about 265. I can fit stock seats with a helmet and no sunroof. So at 6'2" you should be ok. Once you go to a different seat you will may have some trouble fitting without pulling the head liner as most bottom mount seats rail will make you sit a bit higher. A side mount set of rails would be much lower, but I couldnt go this route since I have a 44 inch waist so normal seats and side mounts wont work for me.

I drove from NJ to AZ this past august in my 1995 240sx, caged and all. Im 6' 2", no issues at all, full racing seats and harnesses as well, was actually a pleasent drive. Youll be fine.

I'm 6'5 1/2 and I fit better in S14's than I do S13's. The only thing that is really bothersome is, depending on what shoes i wear my knees may touch the steering wheel. But I plan on resolving that issue. Other than that I can't heel toe lol.

I would suggest you look for a non-sunroof car.

I'm 6'4 and had a hard time fitting in my s14 before I removed the sunroof.

how does not having a sunroof make the roof higher up?!

The sunroof assembly is pretty thick. Think about the glass and tracks, etc. There is also a lip that the sunroof seals against that hangs about 3/4" below the roof line. You gain at the very least a full inch of headroom by removing the sunroof.

Im 6'5 270, got a S14 base, hardtop and i fit decently. i have plenty of headroom (a good 3-4 fingers) although my seat (R33 GTR) is reclined gangsta status, and its pushed back all the way. It basically touches the rear seat. Since i have long legs they are a bit cramped and the wheel is basically resting between my knees. i manage...but no drifting/heel+toe for me :(

and it doesnt help that i have big feet. :(

its worth it.

DenkiMan!
02-25-2011, 09:32 AM
im about 6'2 180, granted im a little on the slim side, but i fit perfectly fine in my s14. i have a stock seat, everything else is stock right now and yea its a little far back but doesnt touch the back seat. i have fairly long limbs but no problems with that really, and i have pretty decent headroom with my sunroof. i actually prefer smaller cars in general lol, just like the feel of sportier cars

i have been in the driver seat of my friends caged miata drift car and i actually feel fine in it although i look cramped. i guess it comes down to driver preferences. people my height feel to cramped in my s14 but i have zero problems with it

I'm 6'3 1/2 195lbs and most of my hight comes from my legs.. so its pretty damn cramped down there..

the e-brake tends to get in my way allot when I'm moving around. I wish it was mounted on the passenger side. I sit with my seat pushed back all the way.. and I always have to remind ppl that my car is only a three seater..lol(fourth person has to kick rocks). and yea, the steering wheel basically touches my knees too, Unreal.

YES!! +100000000 So true. Im the exact same way word for word. Pass side ebrake, and a smaller armrest on the driver side (that little one thats on the door) cramp my style, literally! :(

If i could get a lower seat rail, NRG hub, a carbon door skin (without the window things and that big ass rest) id have decent leg room lol

DAMN!!! whats with all the giants driving s chassis?

By today's standards the 240 might seem small but "back in the day" the 240 was surprisingly roomy when compared to the competition of the era. I test drove a dozen competitors and wrote off many of them just on fit alone. The 240 doesn't give any rear leg room compared to other 2+2s which gives more room for front row. The 240's seats seem to be closer to the floor compared to other competitors and i noticed the 240 still gives good visibility over the dash when you recline the seat compared to the other competitor's "bus" drivers seating position.

zoomswimmer
02-27-2011, 02:38 PM
You have the same problem as me. I have a long torso (Made me a good swimmer :P).

Using a fixed back seat, I'm going to use side mounts and mount my seat to the floor. It won't be adjustable, but that just means my friends can't drive my car

I'm 6'5" and have never had problems sitting in a stock S13 or S14.

Come to think of it, the only time I have issues fitting in an S13 or S14 is when they have really big replica bucket seats that are mounted from the bottom.

(I also have like 2.5-3" of hair on my head so that pretty much simulates a helmets size, lol)
