From what I've seen, this is getting to be a pretty popular swap for 240s. I've got it listed on a local'ish 240SX site and another car forum but thought I'd try here and see if anyone in the region wants to v8 their 240sx.

I have a 118k mile Lexus V8 from an SC400 I bought a while back to save as a spare for my car, and headers. I'm wanting to sell/trade these 2 items towards a 1JZ-GTE.

The motor had 118k from a previous owner. I've taken the intake manifolds off and exhaust manifolds, and a few front cover items. I was in the process of cleaning up the items, painting some of the aluminum parts to dress up the engine. A few gaskets, and an hour or so and the parts can all be bolted back on and the engine ready to go. It has no harness though as the p/o chopped it to bits to get it out of the car, so i just trashed what was there.

The headers are IMF stainless headers and should increase the power of the car to about 20-30 extra hp. They're brand new in the box.

I'm asking $900 for the setup, or would trade towards/for a clean 1JZ-GTE. I'm located in Chattanooga, TN.

Headers for a 240? S13 or S14?

Well they're for a Lexus SC400, they're fairly small, but still don't know if they'd fit a 240 correctly. However I will split it up in case someone just wants to run a v8 and use stock manifolds.

No one wants v8 powa'? I was tinkering with it some today and the engine spins over very easily. The water pump is froze up so it definitely needs one, but the belt looks fine, however I'd still replace it juuuuuuuust to be safe.

Come pick the motor up for $350. I may have found a buyer for the headers for a Lexus guy.

It'll stay at a package price of $850 for a few more days (or $350 for the motor if that's all you want) until I go ahead and purchase a timing belt/water pump kit and install it. After that, of course the motor won't be $350 and a package price won't be $850.

Some people have asked me still, and there is no ECU/wiring harness. If I keep it, I'm going to just run a Megasquirt II that'll run spark as well. It runs off the stock crankshaft wheel for a VR signal, and the stock signal from the cams, and it'll run on the stock dual distributor setup. With a little tweaking and some wire splicing, it's essentially a plug and play system that gets rid of the MAF, plus with a tune it'll REALLY wake the motor up as they're tuned to run rich from the factory.

They were designed for earlier SCs so I'm not 100%. There's been a few header designs, some designed for LS's that SC guys had to modify a little but I don't remember which ones are which. Feel free to give em a shot, might just need the flanged cut and rotated, not sure.

Looking to pick up a 1JZ in the next week, week and a half and I need to at least get this motor out of the way. $250 for the motor picked up, $300 I think it is for the mount kit and have v8 powa' in your 240.
