S14 SR20 Owners : Your VTC rattle and how you dealt it?

So im a victim of this infamous issue as i'm sure plenty of other owners are finding out from my research. I'm not sure as if I should replace the whole gear because it may not do the fix from what i've been told. Then i'm debating eliminating it alltogether to save me the trouble. I wanted to start a thread and have owners dicuss if it's an issue they fixed and how and more discussion behind it.

Have you:
-Replaced the gear?
-Eliminated VTC?
-Kept it and deal with the horrible rattle that has others staring at your car with the "wtf is wrong with it" look on their face.
-etc....

dont even bother to replace it because it will eventually start to rattle again just get some s13 cam gears and re move it... that vtc rattle was so embarrassing lol
