i personally have it have it on the cold pipe. its a hks ssqv 3 but it gives me horrible surge and idles a little off. is that for all bov welded onto the cold pipe. should i re-weld it to the hot pip? would i get better performance and delete the surge. im open to get a new bov so which is the best???

Did you try loosening the bov first?

vac lines hooked up properly? is it releasing pessure at all?

You can remove the bov and check it by applying vacuum to it, see if it opens. Not sure how easy it is to tell on a ssqv though.

Shouldn't be much of an issue between hot pipe and cold pipe, it's a long standing debate and in your case is most likely not the culprit.

the way i see it, pressure goes towards the path of least resistance.. i always put my BOV on the hot side. the cold pipe is about as far away from the least resistance as it can be

Either location is fine, but you will need to ditch the open valve, and recirculate it (or change valves all together).

FWIW: YOu've been making a TON of posts of late, why not research things, read up on how these things work, instead of posting a ton of new threads about shit that's been coverered a ton of times. Read, learn, lurk, then post. Or find a local car guy with half a clue to help you out.
