why dont you inspect both and make the final decision?
how are people supposed to know what e-bay brand hood pins are, do you know how many billion hood pins exist?
What are the purpose for those things anyway?

i personally prefer the old skool moroso units with the round scuff plates and the retension wires
available through jegs.com and virtually every domestic performance shop everywhere

does this hood need hood pins to hold it on? cause it always kills me to see cars with those peel and stick hood pins..
There was this Z24 with them... I mean you dont really need to worry about your hood flying off when you have 150 horsepower!
hahahaha

most carbon fiber hoods do require hood pins because they are very light and the latch can break off some companies like vis use very thin layers which causes the hood to flex thus needing pins to keep it down.
Now getting pins from ebay compared to sparco pins really depend on build quality the only reason i would and plan on going with sparco or any other reputale brand is because the use stinless steel which wont rust unlike other cheapy ebay brands!!!
I hope this helps a lil in your choices

well said, that is the ONLY difference in price.. the coating on the metals.
as for using hood pins, ANY carbon fiberGLASS hood should be mounted with pins.. they are too unstable.. it doesnt matter how little or much HP your car produces, it has to do with the speeds your car will hit. I dont want my hood flying open at 130mph. Well, maybe thats why I have an OEM hood.

i have a carbon fiber hood from vis and i have sparco hood pins..
it's recomended to have hood pins.. you never know when this thing will pop up and fly over your head.. if it doesn't fly over then you are f***ed up~! hahaha
my spaco hood pins are not that great.... both of the ring.. is not perfectly there.. (the ring that you pull like the handle) one side of the ring poped out.. both of them.. so it's kinda loose.. good thing that i installed it a hair high so i need to press the hood a little to put the pin in.. so i don't like sparco hood pins anymore~!

Im gonna have to call you out on this one. the vis hoods are VERY nice thick rolled edges. I've been running mine for 6 months with just the stock latch from vis on it and have had NO issues. no signs of cracking around the plate at all. my hood dosent flex at all. (the vent might alleiviate that but i digress) and the VIS hood is much better quality than the fiberimages hood it replaced.

I agree with Steeles. I had a VIS hood on my other 240 that I had for 2 years, and never had an issue with the hood. Recently VIS has stepped up the quality of their hoods, in my opinion they were perfect before so you can imagine how they are now.
