I am pretty sure my timming is off and i want to fix it. I know the second mark from the right is top dead center, but what degree before/after TDC are each of of the marking indicating?

Here is exactly what i am looking for...

What degree does the far left marking stand for?
What degree does the 2nd mark from the left stand for?
What degree does the 3rd mark from the left stand for?
What degree does the 4th mark from the left stand for?
Ect...

I know the stock timming on my 90 fastback should be 20 degrees BTDC, but i have idea were that is and which way i should adjust the distributor.

please help me,
thanks

Thanks for the reply.

If what you have typed is correct then i have proper timming, but when i put my timming chain back on the engine, I lined the 20 DBTDC timming mark on my crank pulley instead of the TDC mark.

So i am off with my mechanical timming and that must be why i am having poor acceleration.

A much bigger problem and a pain in the ass to fix.

If any of this is incorrect information then please inform us, but it seems good to me.

P.S. I think you might be right about the timming being 15 DBTDC
