maf problem

i had a 240sx 89 just finish the swap
the car idle very low
when im driving if the rpm drop low the car will stall out
when i unplug the maf sensor it wouldnt idle
as bad as having the maf on

please give me a advice thanks

What swap are you talking about? KA or SR20? You gotta give people more to go on man.

Try cleaning out your MAF w/ some carb cleaner.



Flybert: He said he has a 240sx so I think it would be safe to assume that the swap was either a CA or SR.

yeah i just finish the sr20det swap
and some times it idle very low
and dies out
what i think is the maf
but im not sure
when i start the car
i will idel so low that u can hear is going to stall out
so any sugguestion

how do u clean the maf? do u need to open it up? or wat? please help!

this may sound pretty stupid but i've seen people put maf in backwards. if it is the maf cleaning it wont do much its mostly internal. if you dont see any crap on the inside it wont do much
