ike everything else, it's all personal.
before you decide which wheel think of the following.
what are you using the wheels for?
street,racing, or show(see below).
what type of person are you?
conservative---just wider then stock with no rubbing and bigger look.
racer type---widest possible without passing the fenders(rubbing or not depend on how low the car is, spring rate, and tire size).
hard core---will do ANYTHING to make it fit. rolling of fenders, negative camber, fender flares, and stretching the tires.
pass it on thanx,

sam

shouldn't an FAQ on wheel size and offset have some useful information, like... hmm, lets see....
PERHAPS SOME ACTUAL WHEEL SIZE AND OFFSET INFO?????

He is saying what is recommended depending on what your type of "style" is for your car.

yes, I realize that, since.. derr.. thats exactly what he said.
Unfortunately everyone knows that already, there is no point in FAQ'ing something like "your car, your style."
Thats pointless.
What I think would actually help members of the forum is to tell them what size rims in what offsets would help them get whatever look they are after.
But, that might take some homework and actually be useful so why bother.

wow, u like being an a$$? He's just trying to get people to think and do research before they ask stupid questions whose answers are a 5 minute search away. Everyone has a different idea of what good wheels look like, what flush is, yada yada yada. Ask yourself what good wheels look like, what flush is, and how far you are willing to go to make ur car look good b4 u ask others. You're probably the type of person who asks questions that would motivate sam to make a post like that.

A person who already knows what he said is gonna be cool and find the answers to their questions him/herself. A person who doesn't think for him/herself and has nothing meaningful to say is gonna get defensive and make a post like yours.

How can you have a dead set answer on something that is opinion? Are R33 GTR wheels flush on a S14? Some people will say yes and some will say no.

His post was not pointless, yours was. I'm assuming you always do your homework and do all you can to help others on this forum?... Why don't you do something positive and start a list of what sizes and offsets you think will give someone a certain look.

Why do i bother posting this?? because i too am sick of people always asking questions which have no answer or have been asked and answered a million times before.

RBS14,

Do you have a green S14? I was at button w/ the maroon hatch w/ Charlie. Who did your roll bar? I liked it. I like your jew fro too.

yeah, that's me. As for the roll bar, i had it custom bent and I and the guy nic in the FC3S installed it. It's not done yet.

Glad you like the fro. It usually looks better but sleeping in the car messed it all up.

I like your car. You'll have to say hi next time.

Yea I dont usually go up to people and start conversations, but if you come to me i talk a lot and Im pretty nice, I think. Who did the bending on the roll bar? I need one for my car. Did you notice it stiffen up the chassis some more?

HAHAHAHA
good thread

bunch of whiney babies (cough cough andrave cough cough)

i like the 'i'll make it fit' mentality :p

wide fenders (oh wait i have those) camber (camber plates and RUCA), rolled fenders (i can do it for anyone for a minimal cost) and whatever else. stretched tires..love it. response is INCREDIBLE w/ stretched tires.

anyways....s13 10" front or 11" would fit with those wide front fenders (right sam?) i havnet done any math yet..should fit
but personally i'd behappy w/ a 9" with negative offset and rear 9.5 or 10" w/ stock pulled rears. mmm

stretched tires cambered and sideways at the track. wheels tucked lip of wheel flush w/ the fender. do it like that japanese...about 2mm space btween the tire and the fender..sick.

anyways..somoene give me so neg offset 17x9 wheels hahaha

alright assholes I'll just litter up everyboard with FAQ's on every possible subject saying things like:
FAQ SUSPENSION
"I am god, listen to me. This is revolutionary, holy ****. Everyone your suspension choices are UP TO YOU! JESUS CHRIST HOLY **** I HOPE YOU WERE SITTING DOWN WHEN YOU READ THAT!!!!!"

And then when people are like "erm, wtf is all that?" I'm gonna get a friend to post "don't you see, all us gurus were tired of answering questions so we are making them worthless FAQ's, you lazy asshole!"
And then my third friend is going to post "whoa dude you got OWNED" even though there was nothing near "ownage" on the thread.

:boink:

DRFT: yeah i remember you. Havn't seen you since you came down to look at noah's S13. I'm prolly gonna go to the D&B meet in milpitas. U said you were gonna go right? That's cool that your friend got a FC, they're great cars if you have a pocket as deep as the grand canyon.

Jason: i kinda feel the same way, i don't like to just go up to people and start talking to them. I had my cage bent up by Chris Alston Chassis Works in Sacramento. www.cachassisworks.com All their bends are mandrel too, so they look great and are 10x stronger than crush bends.

Andrave: I don't even have to say anything to make you look like an idiot, you do it all by yourself. I've never even met Sam in my life, nor am i a guru, i just get sick of lazy people who b!tch and complain all the time.

Dousan: I feel the same way about making wheels/tires fit, buy them huge and MAKE them fit. I can't wait to get some wheels that i can stretch tires on, like you said, response is supposed to be incredible.

nothing for:
HARDCORE RACER- widest/ lightest possible rim, regardless of if it sticks out or not. It's legal anyways (for higher classes of solo I & II at least: DSP, Prepared, Street Mod)

how bout 195s on 10in's?

i think Gspeed has some 11.5 -16's if you want.

Boro: That's too much, I can't see it being safe. For the person driving the car but more importantly the person who's mounting them. YIKES! I wouldn't ever think about mounting a 195 on a 10" rim. VERY dangerous.

you couldn't actually drive on that, right?
I know drifters like to stretch rims and I've seen some pretty stretched ones, but that is rediculous...

this is not FAQ worthy.. Put some real, honest #'s, maybe even add some pics. Then it would be FAQ material.
