Hey friends, well a week ago I had a sr20det swap in my 93 Nissan 240sx. This week i noticed smoke coming from the bay and its consistent every time the car gets to warming temp. Open the hood and come to notice that there is some coolant on the top cross member, little down on my front mount, and some sitting around the filler neck area of the radiator. Any reason why the cap may not be holding pressure? Maybe its not the cap and could be the filler neck? Any way i can diagnose the situation, since id rather not really go through the warranty process unless i really really have to due to needing my daily driver.
*This thread has nothing to do with degrading Mishimoto as a manufacture.

Temp read out?
Is the car over heating at all or your trying to say your rad is leaking fluid from the filler neck. If its just leaking the rubber on the radiator cap could be worn out hence thats why its leaking or not holding pressure.

I only got stock temp gauge at the moment. Cap and radiator has only been in use for a week. Temp gauge is always at C as im driving unless i let the car idle for about 10-15 mins, it will slowly start to move up, but never close to H then once i start to drive the temp gauge slowly goes back down to C

Mishimoto radiators are notorious for having cap issues.
Almost every single person I know that has run a Mishimoto radiator has had to change out the radiator cap.
Just pick up a new one at your local auto parts store and be done with it.

Get a Coolant Pressure Tester from Autozone. When I rented it from there, they didn't have the adapter for the radiator, so I just bought it from them for like 10$.
It tests radiator cap and cooling system

Yea, thanks guys, got stock cap on. Sealed that up, after driving around I noticed another coolant leak that spring up now I believe. Was to dark to tell at the moment, but there was drips down on the drivers side corner of the rad, below the area of the drainplug =\. Maybe now that its holding pressure from the cap its blowing out of the plug? Whatta mess lol.
