my ka24e shoots fireballs...while i know the basic mechanics behind how this happens...im just wondering how it gets past the cat...and if its bad for my exhaust system (if at all bad)...and if it is bad is there some way to get rid of it? personally im hoping its not damaging because fire is cool :rawk:

what the heck did you do to your SOHC?

What mods do you have?

It usually means you are running rich, or someone stuck a spark plug in your exhaust and did it FnF Style :p

engine wise...i only have an RSR exmag exhaust(shot fire before that) and a cai (shot fire before that too)...aside from that im stock...unless suspension stuff can make fire...or maybe it IS that spark plug in my exhaust...

Hmm something is wrong here, so no funny electronics or anything like that.

Stock cars don't shoot flames, exhaust won't make your car shoot flames, suspension definately won't.

How is you gas milage?

nope no funny electronics...that i know of...i bought it from some ricer who haphazardly installed a few things but ive taken it all out that i know of...nothing that was installed would have caused it anyway...unless its the ghost of a burnt out electric fan that is sitting in my garage now

*edit* my gas milage is like 23-25mpg or some place around there

Cat must be gutted, or deteriorated to the point where it has become gutted.

i got a new cat with the exhaust...the one before this one was deteriorated and it shot more fire...but with the new one it still does but not quiet as much (atleast i dont think)

Becuz i'm ripping the one of the DVD's to my pc as we speak...

Not that I would do such a thing...

I have the 1st 5 on DVD.. the rest are comin soon..

Ripping em in DVD format :D So the are best quality!!

Here is the question tho... Should I rip em in english or japanese with subs? or both? its 1.5gig per 24min show.

EDIT: I'm starting my japanese class next samester (sp) muhaha

thanks for hi-jacking my thread :axe:
but i personally would burn them in english since it is a good dub...unless you want to keep it subed to help you practice japanese...

Hap hazard throttle control. I can do it with my KAE anytime I want to...it comes from having not enough air in a serious romp and letting off to trail down. If you improve your airflow and dont let off so fast, then keep the RPMS up for the downshift, (Clutch in and rev to match) it will not happen. Also rev the car on out...shifting at full throttle at 4.5 K and letting off, you got a ton of raw gas waiting to be blown out the pipe.

I use to scare ricers with the flame, it got stupid to do it. Don't street race anyway..

I have a 3" 5Zigen fireball exhaust with a 3"dp, and a 2.5" tp (i know.. its small.. but its all i had at the time) and i run rich, and i backfire and shoot fire as well... but i have an sr in mine

again i bow to bill  ...i just ran a little test doing those things you said that cause the fire ball...and sure enough fire...so i checked under my hood to see if i have air flow issues and some how a slight kink was in a hose of my cai...guess it happend when i installed my altenator...which likely is the reason i thought my altenator was making me stall...so i guess at first it was badly kinked then it semi unkinked...stupid me :bash: atleast everything seeeeeeeeems to be working now *sigh
