well, long story short, i totalled my car tonight :( i was driving home from a routine day at school, minding my own business when this bitch pulls out in front of me to make a left (going the opposite direction), ok so i have the right away and there's no time to do anything so i just lay on that cute little horn of mine and slam on my brakes tryin to swirve out of the way to avoid hitting her but i slam into the back of her truck instead... airbags go off i'm in a state of shock, so i get out of the car and just fall to the ground but thank god a bunch of people were around, they called the cops, bla bla bla, sent me to the er, where i thought i had a broken arm it hurt so bad, but it turned out that airbags are a bitch and they just gave me a 1st degree burn and a mega bruised arm... anyways, that's my story, it's been a ****ty night and codene makes me sleepy, so just thought i'd share, goodnight all...

Wow, that sucks.. Glad to hear your ok. Air bigs do hurt, but less than steering wheels, and windshields..

Sounds almost exactly what happend to me several years ago.

I got burns on my face (lips, chin, tip of nose, etc..) and arms when I got hit with an airbag a while back. No fun. I went to a chiropractor to have them checkout my back. A lot of ER's suck at diagnosing spinal injuries. Turns out I had minor whiplash, and a hairline fracture in my collarbone from the seatbelt.. My knees where pretty busted up too.

240's are a very safe car to be involved in a frontal collision in, so no reason to be scared about getting in another.
I'm sorry to hear about your wreck, airbags do suck ass, I have been burnt by them myself so I know what that is like.

thanks guys i'm sure the paper work and whatnot will work out. i got the police report today and it was 100% her fault so i'm not worried... i've spent all day lookin for 240s, not too much luck, thanks again everyone

ooh, sorry to hear that but glad your ok. i hate people that just can't wait to make that damn left turn. My mom got in the same exact accident totalling her mercedes! don't worry about the legal stuff, almost always the person making the left hand turn is at fault. hope you find a 240 soon.

yea i'm definately gonna milk that bitch for what i can... i've been lookin at some 97/98's around atl, that's what i would really like, but then again i think maybe i should go for a change and get an s13, i could probably save some money that way, but who knows... guess i'll have to see how much i get before i start makin plans...
