ok i have a white 1992 240sx coupe right now i have the old datsun 280zx swastika wheels on it, which actually looks bad ass but they are 15x6's so they have to go they have a 12mm offset right now i cant decide onw hat to do my car is white now but i would really love to get it painted a nice bright pure red with bronze/goldish looking wheels but i dont want a white engine bay and i dont want to install an sr20 on a "virgin" paintjob so i was wondering once you take a ka motor out how much stuff is left in the engine bay because i would do a "crinkle black engine bay" ferrari style:) so is there anything hard to take out or tape up once the engine is out? also back to the wheels i have an offset calculator and it say if i were to get 17x8's in a 35mm offset they would stick out 2mm more than my swastikas which would be sweet as hell pure flush so would 17x8's with a 35mm offset clear my suspension and also im gonna do the 300zx break upgrade and just get the rotors redrilled so would it clear those brakes? my suspension would be a strut/shock spring setup so nothing major there would i have any clearence problems with wheels at full turn or anything.
i am thinking of one or the other out of these two wheels

dude....use some periods. When you type like that, you sound like a 12 yearold schoolgirl who isn't taking any breaths between sentences. It's just as hard to read as it would be to listen to that. :)

but as to your questions:

I have a cranberry red s13 coupe, and the color will be either silver or bronze for whenever I get around to purchasing wheels...well, maybe black with painted red lips. heh. But yeah, I think red with bronze wheels would be nice. Although, I think a darker/deeper redtone would look better with bronze. I think for the bright red, silver would be nice. (that's my opinion)

what would you think of it maybe white or black with bronze wheels?
see i have a hard time choosing stuff because there are so many great combinations. no matter what it will have to go with a red/black engine compartment and a red/black interior

why are you asking us? we all have 240's of our own to paint and put wheels on. Do it for you, not for someone else.

well, it is entirely up to you. it is possible to take everything off the engine bay and paint it or you can leave the little things on that dont need to be revmoed, lik brake lines, brake mc, clutch mc, relay boxes for a/c. etc..

andrave: i just like to have peoples opinions and this is just one of the combinations i am having in my head this one and a dark grey with a black roof with black wheels is another top one. i just wanted to see others input on the idea

frpilot: thanks i was just checking because i havnt seen one without the motor and I didnt know if there were alot of lines and fluid holders and etc.. in the way for me to paint it

I would say go with the fn01r-c, I like them more, and (if you have 5 lug) you can get them 17x9 with a +15 offset, they have higher if you want, but I would go lower than +35, like +15 or +20.And they only cost like $215 a wheel. Plus they are nice and light, sounds like a good wheel to me. I don't know what the other one is, so i guess I can't say much.

i called wheel options in Los Angeles and the guy on the phone said he could special order 17x9 in 4 lug. Did i misunderstand him? FN01R looks bad ass. Definitely fit them with 245-45-17 Falken Azenis.

I dunno, I haven't seen them in 17x9 four lug, only five, i'll look for a little while now, becaust that would totally kick ass if I didn't have to go five lug.
