Car was in the process of being restored, by a good friend of mine.
All the mechanical work is pretty much done, it is running great.

The little 6 cyl sounds amazing, it really trips you out to see how in the 70s they where making some pretty descent 6 cyl motors in germany. It is also quite nice to have the FOUR speed, unlike the other 280se i was selling which had the v8/3speed combo.

Any way back to the details.

The mechanical stuff is pretty much all done, the car runs great you could daily drive it no problem.

Now for the bad stuff: The next step in this restoration was going to be the exterior and other eye candy stuff.

So in other words you get a very nice half way(actually more like 7/10ths done) project car which has most of the hard stuff DONE to it, it wouldn't take very much at all to make this thing look PERFECT, specially since all the original bits and pieces from dash to original A/C are there.

Here is a link to the album in case you want to take a look at all the hard details, i think the pictures i have put up reveal all the imperfections along with all the nice stuff pretty well so you will have a great idea of what you are going to see before you decide to make the trip over to look at the car in person: another benz pictures by gusisboosted - Photobucket (http://s783.photobucket.com/albums/yy113/gusisboosted/another%20benz/)

Alrite well if you wish to contact me please PM me thats is the best way.

Now here is some eye candy:

Thanks please feel free to ask any question or make any comments about the car :D

As far as the price goes i have no idea what to price this at.
it is a classic, and with a bit of money it can become a very expensive restored car.
Ill say lets start at $5,000 or BEST OFFER!

This is beautiful. What all mechanically was done to it? You said original everything, so I assume everything was just ensured to be in working condition?

AC is not working I guess? Heat?

Really awesome car.

Well to be honest i dont know the FULL detail on the motor, but i did look through it all very well and most of the stuff on it are newish, like i said this was my neighbor's car and he was in the process of restoring it.

All in all the way the car sits, it is in daily driving conditions.
Nice thing is that it still has all the buttons, switches, clips, original knobs those are the hardest things to find when restoring this car, and on top of that it is in GREAT mechanical shape. I think AC needs some work done to it, but all the lights and switches work. I honestly have no experience on the ac systems of these cars so i didnt even start to mess with it.

So all this car really needs to be perfect is some bodywork, for those who know what these cars can be worth it is a good deal, with a bit of money you can make a very expensive show car, or just a nice project to have at home and slowly build up.

either way i am listening to all SERIOUS offers at this point, not in TOO much of a rush to sell but would like to sell asap, i have no intention of building up the car any more, and it is just taking up space.

Shoot me an email at [email protected]
and ill respond asap.

thanks,
Gus

I have a thing for old Diesel Mercedes, but this one would be a great gas one to add, if you weren't on the West Coast. Beautiful car, free bump!
