okay so the other night i went out for a little fun in the car and i was coming around a corner and the transmission made a pop noise like a not so good one. i stopped and tried to turn it on but it wouldnt turn on. so i got it to push start, and it was a pain to get it in any gear. when i came to a stop the car turned off and couldnt get it to start again. towed it home. now i cant even get the lights or anything other than the clock to come on, and im sure something is wrong with the tranny?? help? sorry for the book i just wrote yall :hs: 1990 hatch ka24e

with the car off it goes in to 1-3 and R fine, but 4th and 5th is rough..but when i had the car running when i push started it, it was real hard to get in all gears

You sure its the tranny?
When coming to a stop, put the clutch in, and if the engine stalls, its something else.
The engine and tranny are two seperate things and their issues rarely effect each other.

im not sure its the tranny, but it was real hard going in to gear when i had it running..right now i cant even get it started so i couldnt tell you if it stalls at stop or not.

so if it wont start, then its prolly not the transmission.

well it wont start cause the battery is drained and the both clamps are broken..but with the car off and just sitting in it pressing the clutch and trying to get it in to gear it is hard..thats not normal i dont think??

maybe, could just be the clutch and the whole clutch system though.
Does the pedal feel funny?
is the slave cylinder working?
check the fluid level.
get the battery charged and start it up with the car in nuetral.

maybe, i have an update..
i put a battery in from another car i have and it started right up. put it in reverse and it went..wouldnt go into 1st and was a bitch going into 2nd and would roll even if i had the clutch all the way down 0_o once it started rolling i could get it into other gears up but not back down until i came to a stop and did it in 2nd all over again. then the car died and wouldnt start again..im guessing something is wrong with the clutch cause ya it feels funny, and something is draining my batteries

Check for fluid leaks under the car by the slave cylinder and under the dash where the master cylinder push rod goes through. I can pretty much guarantee you that something is leaking, whether that's your current issue or not. If you do find a leak, try to bleed the clutch system and see if it gets any better. If your pedal feels soft then that is likely your issue. If your pedal has a "springy" feel to it then your clutch might have taken a crap on you. Check the hydraulics first and go from there.
