so i almost crashed today...by hitting somthing i found to be rather odd...it was raining and i was turning off of a main road making a right turn through a puddle (i drive this way everyday so i pretty much know the roads and such)...so i turn and about half way through the turn my rear tire hits somthing on the side and bounces my car into a 90* angle with the curb...so by some magical instinct i managed counter steer and slide the rear of the car so i was back in the direction it should be facing, managing not to hit a damn thing which is good because there is a huge electrical tower there and a telephone pole nearby. so i drove a short way down the road to a place i wouldnt block it (2 house lengths) and pulled over i ran back to check out what the hell i had hit...turns out some one had lost a computer and it was submerged in the puddle, so i removed it and put it on the part before the sidewalk with grass on it ran back to my and drove home.

I know its nothing cool like a hobo or something but the weirdest thing I've hit is some guys computer.

I hit my friend Daniel in a parking lot. He saw me driving through and thought he would be slick and jump out and onto my hood. I didn't see him (he was hiding behind a blazer) until he jumped out at the last second when he landed he "bounced" and stopped in my windshield, yeah "in" not on :( The windshield broke up into that rubber sheeting and he was laying on it on top of my dashboard. It kinda freaked me out, and after we looked him over and found he only had a small cut on his elbow I blew it out of proportion and went off on him.

He ended up buying me a new windshield but I had to drive to the glass shop in ace ventura mode with my head out of the drivers side window. In retrospect it was funny, but definitely dumb. I'm glad he was ok in the end.

well i didn't hit it... but i was driving on i-95 nj turnpike behind this taurus one day. the car in front of him had bikes mounted on the roof. luckily i had alot of distance between me and the taurus, because one of the bikes some how came OFF the bike rack and onto the turnpike. the taurus braked and swerved hard but managed to eat the bike under his car anyway. i got around it easily. ever since, i avoid vehicles with **** mounted on the outside (ladders, bikes, etc) imagine a ladder coming off a van straight into your face through the windshield... ouch :eek:

I didn't hit it, but my brother once hit a hub cap with a 1992 Accord. It wasn't just laying on the road however. It came off of a mid '80s full size Oldsmobile (the big heavy wire kind of hubcap) going the opposite direction as my brother at about 60 mph, crossed over behind the Olds and directly into the front of brother's car. It did damage to the condensor, bumper cover, lower radiator support for a grand total of about $1,400 worth of damage.

As soon as he hits this thing he calls me and asks me to see if I can find this guy (I live just down the road from where this happened). So I head north looking for a white Olds (missing a hubcap obviously) and sure enough, I don't get more than a mile down the road and there he is parked at a gas station.

So I get out of my truck and right down the license plate number, go inside and ask the guy if he was missing a hub cap. He said he didn't think, so but he'd go check. Of course he was and then I told him it hit my brother's car, he was very sorry and he gave me his info. The kicker to this story is that it was Sears' fault, he had just got a new set of tires and they hadn't installed the hubcap properly...

I am so glad that I'm not the only one with a story like this:

I was driving my dude's WRX to work one day while he was out of town, on the expressway, and there was - I am not making this up - a guy getting on the freeway to the far right, I was in the far left, there was a car to my right, and a median to my left - and I was coming up on this guy as he was merging. The top of his car was PILED with luggage (family vacation? moving?) and one of the suitcases broke free... it takes a bounce, lands in front of the car to my right, bounces again, plops right in front of the 2003 WRX I'm driving, and WHAM! somehow gets under my lowered car, then POP!! comes out under the driver's side sideskirts and opens in the process. POOF! Undershorts everywhere.

So what do I do? Pull over, see that the fascia of the car isn't ripped off, and finish the drive to work, unable to get a hold of the guy who had lost the suitcase. Then I have to call my dude, while he's out of town, and tell him that I hit a suitcase in his brand new car.

He was so pissed at me. But what else could I have done? :cry:

He eventually forgave me. But if the car had FMIC instead of TMIC, I would have gotten my ass kicked. Bah!

I was riding in this girls wrangler and she had taken the doors off, and I saw a big bloated 'possum in the road, and she didn't see it, well it was on my side, and POP! that thing blew like a bomb. Luckily none of the splatter matter got on me.

I'll sure as hell tell ya, I love hittin birds. When they're peckin at something on the road and they see you, so they start to fly but you speed up, and they get rolled on your hood or theirass hits your windshield. No harm done, but it takes a certain level of skill to hit em like that.

well i didnt hit it, but once my dad and i were driving really early to check out my college, and were going down highway 44 and going the other way was a huge ass semi going down a hill, prolly going at 80-90 mph...the next thing we saw was a deer running out of the woods onto the highway...

and no **** it hit the truck right in the middle, and it well kinda exploded, like actually exploded. there was really nothing bigger than a leg or arm left. it hit hard enough to get **** all over my dads car, going in the opposite direction 2 lanes over...really freaky thing to see a deer explode...

it was kinda like in saving private ryan, when the guy lit the fuse too early and blew himself up trying to take out a tank...dam i love that movie

on the way home later that day there was like a 30 foot diameter of blood still on the highway...

well it's not the weirdest thing i've hit but definitely the stupidest. i was 16 and was on the way home from the beach on the 4th of july, it was late and i was dead tired. was drivin with about 3 other friends of mine, and we decided to pull into a carl's jr drive through. i pull in, line's waaay too long, so i put the car in reverse (an automatic honda) and just floor it, it runs up the curb, i let off the gas and turn the wheel, but it's too late and i hit the freaking "enter here" sign with the big smiling star. it was embarasssing as hell so naturally i just gun it out of there.

hahahha...werd!!..i hit a chair one time in the middle of the freeway..and when i pulled over to get it out from under my car..CHP stopped and gave me a sobriety test..i was like "fcuk you..i hit a chair, which you should have gotten off the road, and you are giving ME a test?!?!?..eat the d!ck biatch"...lol

the craziest thing I hit was a 300lb wild boar that I tagged with my old cavalier. Actually the guy in front of me did the hitting and the damned porker was sliding down the road and I ran square over it. My cavy was lowered and it lifted the car up off the ground, I stopped to check the damage and it had dented the fook out of my oil pan and a huge flap of bacon was burning itself to my cat converter. Jeebus, that was one stinky (yet strangely appealing) smell. Nothing like burning meat and cooked hair. MMMMM boy!!!1!

i got a new cd player one october, and was very proud of it never skipping. so after a few months, new year's rolled around, and i went to this pary, and on the way back, this deer beamed down from the enterprise right in front of my car ('85 ford tempo) and i hit it on its ass, spinning it around. when i hit the deer, my cd player skipped for the first time.

my thoughts came in this order:
1. my cd player skipped
2. something's wrong
3. i hit a deer

i dunno what happened to the deer. i guess i didn't kill it right away and it limped off into the forest or something.

My dad was driving his astro in the right hand lane at about 70 in fog and he saw an OFFICE CHAIR in the middle of his lane. He reacted well in time, swerved into the left hand lane, and hit the MATCHING DESK laying in the middle of the highway.
Swear to god, did a good bit of damage too.

whoa that deer in the windshied reminds me of a story my dad told me. he works at a hospital and one day this couple came in from an accident, all covered in blood, but they claimed to be fine. no one believed them for obvious reasons, and they had to go to the ER and everything, but no big injuries. doctors asked, "well where did all this blood come from then??" and the huband said "from the horse's head as it went through the windshield and into the back seat."
