im right about to drop in the s14 sr but im running a stock ka radiator right now.... how long do you think it would last and should i buy an after market one as soon as possible?
what do you mean last?
KA and SR rad are the same but the top inlet ports are on the opposite sides.
you just need to run a longer hose or adapt one with two L-shape hose and a metal straight pipe.

dont run a stock ka rad if u plan on drifting road racing or what ever is needed for lots of full throttle inputs
sr20's tend to run hot
get a good radiator and be happy

If you have to use the KA rad,
Radiator Crossover Hose - KA Radiator w/ SR20DET [ ER-651 ] - Enjuku Racing - Performance Parts and High Quality Fabrication (http://www.enjukuracing.com/radiator-crossover-hose-radiator-sr20det-p-6485.html)
+1 for getting an aftermarket.

Personally, I wont run a stock radiator on an SR. An aftermarket radiator is $200, which is damn cheap insurance on a motor notorious for running hot. I have no doubts that plenty of people can and do run SR's with stock radiators, and thats fine. But I just spent $1800 on my motor, Id like to not replace it anytime soon.
But hey, thats just me.

aluminum block+underpowerd cooling system= extra money for repairs that couldve been used for aftermarket radiator and bigger turbo:bow:

If you don't want to run a name brand aluminum radiator, there's other cheap ones that still does its job. Try CXracing.

I didnt say I wont run a name brand, I said i wont run OEM.
For the $179.99 that a CXRacing radiator costs, Id rather spring for the Mishimoto at $200.
Im currently in the market actually, and Im debating between a used koyo or a new mishi. Im leaning towards mishimoto.
